Well that wasn't hard to do.Sounds legit.
Gaffers in the spoiler thread who have seen it have also been positive as well. Not a perfect film, but overall much better than MoS.

Not sure about expectations but I didn't think deadpool was anything above averageHuh? Were people expecting Deadpool to be bad?

Damn how did you get that before the edit. Opinions and all that though.Nah it was great

The humor is okay, it was too frequent. A joke per minute and it wore thin for me personally (Edit:?autocorrect smh).more or less. though i did like a lot of the humor and the colossus/deadpool/negasonic stuff.
action could have been better though for a guy with some swords and pistols. they got the tone spot on though, so hopefully they up the choreography for the sequel and introduce another buddy for deadpool (cable casting....better be a damn good straight man opposite reynold's wacky wade)
It's a popular movie, yes. I don't think superhero movies are very harshly graded in general. I don't think there is a ton to like in the Thor movies or Cap 1 but those are both fresh.Guess I got lucky ;o
Anyway i think you're in the minority in thinking it was decent/average
Hell it even got 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, pretty damn impressive for a "superhero" movie.
Definitely puts you in the place of citizens when it comes to how some view Batman.Just thought of something:
The first time Batman is seen in costume in the movie is a great scene. All the movies try to present Batman as something criminals would be afraid of and his introduction scene in here is probably one of the only times I can see that being true. It is played effectively like a horror movie.
One buddy of mine just saw it - said it was slightly better than MoS but overall, a steep decline in Batman movies. Again, nonsense script and style over substance.
People who loved MoS (I would never understand why, but still) will probably like this too.
People who didn't, I would suggest you wait before you waste money on another Snyder film.
So what? Batman is bad in the movie or what?
No, the movie as a whole was slightly better than MoS, but so much worse than the last Batman trilogy.

U.S. = 6 P.M. PSTAnyone know when the official review embargo ends?
Any feedback regarding the action in this? I know people weren't concerned about Snyder delivering on the action as many liked the action scenes in MoS but I personally thought the MoS action was pretty mediocre.
Superman and Zod were knocking each other through buildings etc in the last film but neither actually seemed to cause the other any real damage. It was like watching indestructible robots fight and I found it very boring. With Batman being in this I'm hoping that the action is a little more brutal and that we might actually get to see some blood/damage inflicted?
Hearing some faint buzz from a press screening that just ended and it's not good. Especially when it comes to the action.
Whatever you're hearing is a load of bullshit. The action sequences are by far one of the stronger parts of the film and the 3rd act relies heavily on them. I like you and this post.Terrible movies can be confusing to people not used to looking past inept writing and direction to figure out what the film is trying to communicate. It's unfortunate that so many people who disliked Man of Steel didn't fully understand why they disliked it so much, but at the same time it's probably better not to waste much brainpower on a Goyer/Snyder film anyway.
Help us, Obi-Wan Terrio, you're our only hope.
I got the sense that people weren't sure if the movie would live up to Reynolds' performance. Fortunately, it delivered.Huh? Were people expecting Deadpool to be bad?

It looks a lot less video game-y than Man of Steel did. The stylization of it was toned down for sure, which helps it.How is the CGI in the movie? Man of Steel had lots of it and I didn't really care because it looked way to much like a video game. Have they toned it down or improved it?

It's less bombastic than Man of Steel, and to put it lightly, your concerns were taken into account in the movie. How does the action compare to MoS?
My biggest problem with the MoS action was that it didn't seem like Superman or Zod were actually hurting each other. They seemed to easily punch each other full blast and send the other flying through a building without any real visible damage being done to one another. As a result the fighting looked extremely fake and robotic to me.
Is the action in this somewhat different? I'm not expecting hyper violence and gore but would like to see some visible damage on the Hero's...

If there's one thing I can't imagine Snyder screwing up, it's the action.

The best way to describe this movie that others have used is 'reverse Man of Steel'. I think it fits.
