Hah, that's actually right where a lot of the reviews were. The RT % is often misunderstood as being a score average, when it's basically how many reviewers recommend a film, not the intensity of that recommendation.

RT is basically an "At the Movies" site that aggregates the "thumbs up or thumbs down" of critics doing their best Siskel and Ebert impression.

The review scores are based on the review system of that old Siskel and Ebert TV show. They either like the movie or don't.

OH SHIT we got a Chalkboard.

Some fun with numbers. Here are the Superhero films with big drops/or toxic reception that initially opened over $50M domestic. I have also included Deathly Hallows 2 and 50 Shades for fun since they have the two worst 2nd week drops in the $50M+ opener club.

Code:
Movie 2nd wkd drop 3rd wkd drop 4th wkd drop Second Wkd New Film Competition
Deathly Hallows 2	72.0% (62% w/o midnights)	53.7% 43.4% Captain America - $65M
Spider-Man 3 61.5% 50.1% 50.6% Nothing over $10M
Man of Steel 64.6% 49.8% 45.0% (4th of Jul)	Monsters U + WWZ - close to $150M combined
X-Men Last Stand	66.9% 52.7% 51.4% The Break Up - $39M
Amazing Spider-Man 2	61.2% 52.7% 53.4% Neighbors - $49M
X-Men: DOFP 64.2% 53.4% 35.2% Maleficent - $69M
Fifty Shades of Grey	73.9% 52.6% 47.7% Highest opener was $11M

Hulk (2003) 69.7% 56.3% 55.4% Charlie's Angels 2 - $37M
Watchmen 67.7% 61.8% 59.8% Race to Witch Mount. - $24M
Green Lantern 66.1% 63.6% 52.0% Transformers 3 - $97M ($162M 5-day)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Batman v Superman 68.4% est (62% w/o midnights) Highest opener was $8M

Quoting myself to talk about the list on a new page.

I don't think it is controversial to suggest that a film with BvS' reception is probably looking at drops in the 50%+ range over the next two weekends. Especially with The Jungle Book stealing all of the IMAX/PLF screens in two weeks.

I also think that this weekend is overpredicted and will be down to something between $50-51M tomorrow. We'll say $51M for argument's sake.

My prediction for Batman v Superman's next two weekend total:

Third weekend: $23M (-55%)
Fourth weekend: $11M (-53%)

BvS if it gets Watchmen holds:

Third weekend: $19.5M
Fourth weekend: $7.75M

Finally Zootopia with 25% drops:

Third weekend: $15M
Fourth weekend: $11.25M

Creepy Batpregnancy images with Kevin Feige watching from orbit.

However, the poster who starts every single box-office thread has an admin-applied usertag discussing the DRENCHING of people in PRE-CUM.

So...

(The image 'shopping got out of hand, and mods were super-busy at that time with, yunno, a whole forum worth of knuckleheads, and there was a redundant thread that didn't have weird joke images boiling over. Ghaleon's been nice about this once already. We should probably stick to discussing this amazing nosedive, and Zootopia's ridiculous run)

OH: Cloverfield passed 60mil domestic this weekend!

Zack Snyder's legacy.

Well taking a look at that GamerGate-esque insanity that is #SupportDCFilms apparently GAF has earned its place as an enemy of this "movement".

Wasn't that made in Gaf? I could've sworn someone made it in the rottentomatoes thread as a joke.
That's hilarious if people are posting it and taking it seriously on twitter now.

Wow it's sad that the only film critics love that made bank in the box office (read: isn't part of Xaos' - - - - - - skipping) is a furry film. :/

That's what I've been thinking in. the x men franchise have been getting slept in because they are easily some of the best super hero movies to date.

Shit marketing but singer xmen flicks are really good for sure imo. With Nolan and Raimi gone he's the last one of the old gawds that is still going strong on it
