Uncharted 4 review embargo lifts May 5 at 12 AM PST

From what we've seen of Uncharted 4 so far, stunning visuals, great voice acting / script, improved gameplay mechanics and new open area's, if the rest of the game can keep all that consistent, then there's no reason to think Uncharted 4 will be anything but an amazing game and possibly Naughty Dogs best game yet or at the very least, on par with the excellent The Last of Us.

MC - 95 (Same as TLoU)

He shouldn't be too far from reality, as you can see here:

Early impressions from The Order made the game look like a 8/10.
On metacritics it's at 66.
80 - 66 = 14.

Early impressions from U4 sound like a 9.5/10.
95 - 14 = 81.

So U4's metascore will be 81.

Edit: Just re-checked. TO is only 63 on meta, not 66... Wow, U4's meta will be 78. :(

I'm quite surprised people are actually expecting meltdowns, if anything i can only see nothing but praise from the reviewers. And maybe a few 8.5's here and there, which is fine, absolutely fine. And if there are one or two who score it lower than that...really...who cares? Why even care so much about that?

Look at what this developer has given us through the years, ND means quality. Not one bad game since Uncharted was made, the last one is undoubtedly going to be fantastic.

I'm guessing if the metacritic doesn't stay above 90 we will be in for a bumpy GAF ride. I hope for brutally honest reviews.

After reading all the impressions, I am more optimistic about this games critical reception.
Will be really surprised if it gets anything less than 90 on Metacritic.
My guess is a 92. Would be an amazing average rating considering how much lower AAA games have been scoring the last few years. I mean, something like Alien Isolation or Evil Within, would have scored a lot more last gen. Alien Isolation especially is an amazing accomplishment and deserved way more praise.

Speaking of meltdowns I think it's more likely we'll be getting them from people who dislike Uncharted and consider it 'over rated' and those who maybe too invested in Xbox, Nintendo etc.
Just can't see this game scoring low enough to warrant meltdowns from those of us who are looking forward to it.

It's only going to take one score of 7 or 8 for certain people to lose it. It doesn't matter how well it rates overall. That's why the U3 thread is so legendary.

Well, if you are interested in my real opinion: I doubt it will be below 90.
And even if it does, I won't care at all and buy (and surely like) the game on day 1.

The reason that thread has gone down in infamy is because it was orders of magnitude WORSE than any review thread up to that point and up to this date.

It's gonna take a high 90's for sure and it probably will be reigning champion of this generation
unless ND goes "EVEN FURTHER BEYOND!!!" with their next project

Yeah, it was genuinely beyond the pale. And if we don't remember and learn from our history, we're doomed to repeat it.

That's less wild than the people predicting lower than 85. Like they have no idea what they're talking about. I also like that it took single player impressions for people to realize that yes, this is likely to be best one of the best single player campaigns this year. I mean come on now... We've seen some amazing gameplay up to this point.

And we saw amazing set-pieces before U3 came out. Turned out we watched almost the entire game on YT.

Impressions killed any of the doubts we had.

Thank you. Let's not act like Mama Robotnik isn't a self professed Nintendo fan who enjoyed making that wall of shame.
