Probably greatly exaggerated scores.

Its still goimg to be a good game, but my personal trend with ND games is that they're never as good as the media lets on,except for the aspect of spectacle.

We'll see.
Pretty much. I just finished it and its pretty damn good. Best graphics of all time and your mind will be blown quite a few times from it. But Jason is right in the sense it's not as good as TLoU and the story doesn't come together perfectly even if I loved the end. Early chapters are a chore to replay and in the end there isn't as much innovation as in the earlier titles. It makes sense since it's the 4th entry in the franchise, but I can't really see it having a lasting impact besides the graphics. So in the end it's a pretty good game, but not the second coming of Christ :P

So is there any game that will come even close to this for GOTY this year?

Ordinarily there's no way an Uncharted is going to be a GOTY candidate for me, but I'm eager to see if the series taking a sidestep into more open level design allows me to enjoy the mechanics more, or if it will just underscore how pitiful traversal usually is in this series. Judging by the reviews, I'm hoping this will have a structural feel closer to TLoU.

Especially when the bug riddled, janky animation, performance dipping, bad dialogue snoozefest story of FO4 with the 9.5.

Both QB and UC4 bury that game on those fronts.

But whatevs, opinions and stuffs.

Can't not wait until Tuesday!

Technical prowess of a game is a blip compared to actual gameplay design.

Fallout isn't very good there either though. :/

Jason didn't review UC4 for Kotaku. But he played it. It's fair to compare UC to TLOU IMO. And people are interested in his impressions.
if it is just an impression it is ok. But still surprises me since those are very different games despite sharing some things. maybe a TR or QB would fit better.
At what point can you compare any two games then? This is made by the same team and it's the same genre. It's perfectly fine to compare to some degree.
to some degree. The story doesn t seem the best point to start. Compare it to Mario Galaxy since you can platform in Uncharted too.
Anyway, the story of TLOU was a big hook for people. U4 is a much better game from a gameplay and location standpoints. The story just isn't as compelling, but that's to be expected from a lighter Uncharted tone.
exactly

Yeah, as you say, Fallout's game design is ancient and unpolished, it's technically a piece of trash especially on consoles, and tge whole thing just feels bad to play.

Interesting to hear Colin (Kinda Funny) say he has issues with the game mechanics, but he's not the only one I've heard say it either. He went as far to say it's not in the upper echelon of TPS.

It's a massive step up from previous games - at least it felt that way in the beta - but I'm not sure it's receiving universal acclaim for its gunplay.

Then again, UC's mechanics have always been a point of contention. If it feels right for you, who cares I suppose?

thing is Colin was saying he has issues with the rope being just introduced and Nate could use it like a pro, and also loads of mud sliding. His argument was this was old man out the game drake and also he would of liked to see drake struggle occasionally with this stuff.

My problem with Colin's opinion here is:

1. Its a game, its not grounded in reality this exciting gameplay mechanics stuff is what makes uncharted uncharted and it needs to evolve so it doesn't feel stale for a new gen, playing the beta it felt amazing

2. UC4 takes place only 3 years after UC3, which he loves, so why would Nate suddenly age dramatically that he can't do this stuff like slide down a hill and run about and climb stuff just as effortlessly as before?

Went to my local GAME store in the UK and they had the game but couldn't sell it to me. I tried to bribe them but it didn't work.

How do I wait until Tuesday...

The technical aspects of a game are not the only thing the matters or even matter at all to some. Clearly the gameplay, world, exploration, etc. allowed Jim to overlook those flaws

Hence 'opinions and stuff'.

Story and dialogue is very important in narrative driven games. FO is still narrative driven, otherwise it would just be a sandbox only. You can't just dismiss sloppy attempts, that is disingenuous.

Either way... FO4's meta is an 87, Jim's review a 95

UC4 Meta is currently 94, Jim's 85.

Again opinions and stuff.

Agreed.

This is somehow a surprise?
No.

But some guys thinks reviewed are being harsh this gen without any proof,

What I see are games with key flaws being scores lower than expected... others games with not that important flaws are getting 94, 93, 92, etc like last gen.

haha takes me like two months to be a metallic fossil when I stop working out.

Idk, Chloe has always had a unique facial structure and a prominent nose. Multiplayer model looks fine to me. She has more in common with her UC2 model than her UC3 model for sure.

IMO, the TLOU and UC comparison is gonna be easy to settle. Whichevers game has the tone you prefer, you'll like more.

This is taking out the impact of TLOU sort of pushing ND to the heights that it did and simply comparing them on a game vs basis.

There's definitely an argument to be made for both but they are so wildly different. I slept on it and still haven't been able to make up my mind on which one I consider "better." They just do different things better.

I'm still thinking TLOU = UC4. One thing is for sure, the pacing between the two is probably be most similar thing. But still not the same.

Erm, why is her nose that big? Maybe a bad screencap, but here she looks bad compared to UC2's Chloe..

you are factual wrong... i won't accept this take it back. :P
btw those screens are very low resolution shes gorgeous
that skin tone god
she is just too sexy

What if you like both? Like me.

Why we even need to compare them? Two different games, two different settings, two different stories etc.

I wonder if this game is Actually as good as the reviews say. :/ Do not want to get my hopes up after the thirds tinyish letdown.
