Always thought it was a shame they dialed it back for Twisted Metal on PS3. The dark stories for all of the characters were done so well, and really fell into place great with calypso. Though at the same time it really does let it stand out, there's truly nothing else like it.

Oh weird I thought the PS3 version had the best world of the entire series, because it did the self aware version of Black. Felt like the perfect mix of humor from the older games and horror of Black.

Never even knew of this one, what a fantastic cover in terms of creativity and just overall creep factor. It just looks so clean and well done.

I remember the Restless Dreams version of Silent Hill 2 having a really unsettling cover for its booklet. He's facing the prison corridor with all sorts of creatures clinging to the ceiling. Found it very striking.

This one surprisingly gets to me. It feels personal and horrific and lets your imagination do the work for you. I'm not scared but it does put me on edge.

Speaking of PC, the Darkseed box art was always pretty freaky too. Never thought the same of the second game's box though. Despite it being a safety pin through the face, it just looked like a girl wearing sun glasses.
