Basketball shoes are in a sad state of affairs right now. Never been a fan of Currys, and yet somehow they're outselling everyone. Durants are trash, Lebrons are trash, etc.

Have to say the Kyrie PE that he wore last night wasn't bad though.

The upcoming KD 9's aren't that bad btw

Meh. They're okay I guess. A lot of his shoes are just average though imo, doesn't surprise me that they don't sell.

I think Jordan may have just spoiled me. Certain Jordan silhouettes still look twice as good as anything coming out today.

The prevailing theory on Twitter is that Curry is playing like trash because he has been so thoroughly owned online after his awful shoes came out.

The replies to that tweet are fun.

Tinker Hatfield was a god amongst shoe designers.

Dude is just overrated for so long. If people aren't expecting so much out of him, he won't be criticized as much.

I'm not so sure. All 3 of the big 3 were pretty mediocre in games 1 and 2 on offense. And that has nothing to do with Love.

Last night Cavs had JR, Lebron, and Kyrie all shooting really well. They had the same looks in GS but just weren't hitting the shots. If they can shoot they have a chance. And Love is one of the better shooters they have.

They will need him.

Pretty much. I look at like a Jordan 12 or a 4 and they still look way, way better than anything coming out today.

I have:

3: Black Cats, Pure$, 88s, Fire Red, Wolf Grey, Cements

4: Pure$, BRED

5: Fire Red, Oreo

6: Infrared BRED (my fucking grails)

8: Playoff

11: BRED, Legend Blue, Low Tuxedo, Low Black and Yellow

12: Taxi

14: Graphite, Thunder

Oh and the pair I have been looking for since I missed out on the initial run:

White 19s. <3

So yeah, I kinda like the 3s most. :)

It's go-time Kerr. No more messin' around.

Respek. 3's are absolute fiyah.

I'm hoping to cop these 3's coming in November: http://www.kicksonfire.com/air-jordan-3-og-88-true-blue-releasing-on-black-friday/

I'm not saying that they don't need him. They really need him more than ever as he is a pretty good outside shooter, and with a height advantage he can really get good looks from long range. And he can score inside the paint if he wants to. He's just known to be invisible in some games in the playoffs that he's more of a variable than a constant contributor as the Cavs' big 3. He just needs to be more reliable for the team and be like the 2nd best player on the team he was signed to be. He just can't do it from the way the playoffs have been going on, and that's why I still feel he's overrated and people are just expecting way too much out of him.

But hopefully he can bounce back in this series, whenever he returns. His lucrative contract isn't worth it if accompanied by bad defense, he can't even score consistently.

believe in Love

he's taking at least 10 shots minimum and LeBron will help give him the ball
he doesn't want to look like an idiot for trading Wiggins for Love

LeBron wants to win more than he wants to validate the Wiggins/Love trade. Fortunately, they signed Love to a long term deal, so the trade didn't go as badly as it could have if Love walked last summer. At least now, they can get an asset in return for him. They can't get Wiggins back, but they can get something more than the zilch that could have happened last year. But that's a matter for the offseason. This series? If Love sitting gives them a better shot, then Love will sit.

Edit: And let's be real. If LeBron was worried about blowback from a 2 year old trade, he'd maybe work with Love more, defend him more, and subtweet about him less.

Again the talk about Love is a complete overreaction in my opinion.

He's been great all these playoffs and had a bad game 1 and 2. So did Kyrie and LBJ. And Fry, JR, and all their players overall offensively.

He looks worse cause he didn't play game 3 and Kyrie and LBJ played great.

I was making fun of the "Looks like Curry shouldn't have won MVP after all!" people.

Of course he deserves them. It's based on the regular season. Playoffs don't affect the award, that's all that has to be said. I think they can make the case for unanimous though.

Its his defense that's the problem. And thats been his problem his whole career. They don't seem to need his offense in the starting unit, maybe competing with their bench is how he could be most useful.

Love is going to come out and put up 50 and 25 in a series clinching game 7, propelling him to become a Cleve legend and he will have the team trade LeBron for Andrew Wiggins. The city of Cleveland will change its name to Cloveland.

Yeah, I wonder if we'll see this. Maintaining the Game 3 starting lineup and having Love provide scoring off the bench makes some sense. (As does having LeBron continue to play backup PG for as many minutes as he's able.) Not sure if you can have Love and Kyrie play together much against the Warriors, without giving up too much on defense.

kevin love can't switch on defense well enough against the warriors.

offensively he's great, but dude is a major liability on defense.

Most people on the internet just react and to get heard often overreact.

The analysis from most sports outlets and fans after a game in a series often boils down to whatever just happened in that game is going to keep happening in the next game.

For me I was happy that the Cavs actually brought intensity on defense and maintained it throughout the first 3 quarters of the game (until it became a blowout). I also think Lebron is starting to look a little old. Keep in mind he still had a good game, but the way he moves when he is driving makes me think his legs are starting to get old. Luckily for him he is still tall, strong and can pass the ball and win in other ways.

I am not going to just start saying that Curry is fraud, but he is certainly struggling in the finals. He obviously has the skill to keep scoring but he hasn't seemed to be have figured out (in this series) when and how to take over versus staying in the offense. His reactions and decisions have been mostly wrong. He dribbles and holds onto the ball too long when he should pass out of double teams, he is making the wrong decisions on PnR on defense, and in general is not reading the defense or offense very well. You obviously have to credit the Cavs for some or most of that, but he can clearly play better as well. And Lebron has had the same problem at times in the series as well because it is probably not an obvious answer. You don't want to just break down the offense because you go down 8, but you also have to find a way to get more production without killing the flow of the offense and your teammates confidence.

Love is just too much of a liability on defense to keep him out there when his shot isn't falling.

Wow @ this hat from Varejao. I hate that he's so bad, I really like the guy

Well he apparently gets a ring either way this year from what the Cavs announcers were saying. It has to be a weird feeling knowing that you're guaranteed your first ring regardless of whether you win or not (not to mention the fact that Varejao has little effect on the outcome of the series either way).

It's hilarious that Cavs fans think that Irving is going to be an amazing defender now and Curry is going to look like he's sleepwalking through another 2-3 games. Or that Klay is going to be throwing up bricks as well.

Must be nice to dream.

Klay was terrible all Finals last year and has laid another egg so far. Curry was terrible early but was able to wake up against a mediocre guard in Delly. Its not assured that the same will happen again with Kyrie who can actually make you work on the other end.

I mean these players just may not be up to the Finals.

"Cavs in 6 chants" at the game and then there's the hilariously awful r/nba.
Lmfao. How dare they.

Is this the same Klay Thompson that hit a record number of threes on the road with the pressure of their backs being against the wall? But by all means, let hope creep back in, that will only make the eventual fall that much worse.

I'm not saying they shouldn't do it or are not allowed to, just that it's absolutely hilarious to me.

Nothing that wasn't done 10x by the Thunder and we saw how they responded to that.

OKC's offense self destructed. Game 7, 13 missed 3's in a row. Their defense wasn't the issue, throwing up bricks and watching Westbrook play Hero ball was.

The Cavs have to continue to play full court. One can't shut down against a team like GSW. They have too much offensive power.
