I find it to be overpriced personally. TTK was never worth £40 imo.
I was really hoping that they would end the stream with something like, "We know that September is a long ways off, so here's SRL to keep you busy this summer!" . I don't know what to do in Destiny until then. The maintenance got me hopeful that they're doing something.
Wonder how much that is on the Canada store...
My guess is $40. Although we could get lucky and have it be 30, never know.
Wait, you don't actually get a Gjallarhorn, just a quest to get one. That seems like skeevy advertising just to get pre-rders.
Excited to finally discover how the fallen, who are aliens, know what wolves are and how they know wolf idioms.
So what exactly is the Iron Gjallarhorn?
I understood the explanation as everyone can get the Year 2 (well, I guess it'll be Y3 weapons at that point?) Gjallarhorn via a quest, but pre-orders get the black Iron Gjallarhorn just given to them.
YES can't wait. Hopefully we get a Destiny 2 trailer at e3
60 FPS PLZ!
This. The value proposition offered by the first three DLC's varied, but I thought TTK at $40 was a better value than the shipping game was at $60. It wasn't just the volume of content, but also the quality. The new strikes were far and away better and more replayable than the old strikes; the new story missions were a huge improvement of the prior, etch. And it was a much larger expansion than 25% of the base game, despite just one new destination: there were ~18 total missions, 8 PvP maps, three new subclasses added to the six Destiny shipped with (+50%). The 2.0 overhaul to the base game was a huge as well.
But ultimately, the answer is people who like the game get that much value from the new stuff added. I've put hundreds of hours into the expansions since they came out, so $30 for this seems like good value for the money to me. Especially since the quality bar has, generally, been going up as Destiny has progressed.
I must have dozed off, but did they say how they are going to handle PS3/X360 playerbase?

They said it will be addressed in more detail later, but hinted at better upgrade paths for those on last gen. It will probably just be branched off from the next gen versions.
Thanks. I remember reading about the many drawbacks of being "tethered" to the old consoles, which allegedly included many interface and inventory/storage management limitations, but also things like on screen enemies, zone population limits/scope of dynamic events etc, the infamous "seeing your fireteam members arrive by ship, to your location while on patrol" ... too many things to list really. I just wonder if they would even bother retooling any of this at the end of the game's life cycle.

Hrm, really? I took it to mean that pre-ordering allows you to obtain the Iron Gjallarhorn via the same quest that everyone else has.
What the pr said I guess, I don't think anyone knows much more. What are the big selling points on this DLC?
Sell me.
Maybe everyone will complain about how they lied in their reveal and they'll just give everyone the iron version a week after launch. lolthats also how I see it. You`ll just end up with a black version, compared to the 'regular' version.

Ohh PS4 and XB1 only? That bodes well for Destiny 2. No more last gen holding it back. I'm more excited about these news than the actual expansion.
All those images of new gear has made me realize I am not longer really motivated or excited by how the loot looks - I want them to do new things. New effects, weapon classes, perks, abilities, etc. I think that's why I was not drawn back to the game after the April update.
Since it's current gen only that means the graphics should improve right Bungie??
