You're getting too caught up on the word "remaster". Companies don't use it correctly and often interchange it with "remake".

I knew it. A full budget new Crash game does not make any fucking sense as an investment in 2016. Crash is such a dated 90s IP. They are remastering the old games as a test to see if there is an viability for a full blown reboot, but there's not enough convincing evidence for them to make that move yet.

Well I mean if it were ND they are not going to use the whole team (just like TLOUR), plus they are pretty much in pre-production right now ( if they only have 1 team) so not everyone must hands on deck.

You're going to need to buy this collection if you're going to get a new game by either Activision or Sony.
You can make a good Crash game on a small budget though. It doesn't need to be Uncharted 4 money.
Not gonna lie, it'd be a blast if it had online multiplayer.
I know I'd play the shit out of it.

Never played the series so I have no strong feelings either way about this announcement, but the crowd reaction was fun to watch. Might give this a shot when it comes out.

Again we can wait and see. Either way I'm bumping to serve crow or eat it. Nobody once said remade. There is a massive difference between remakes and remasters.

Maybe Activision will finally let the PSOne games into the Vita. I only have it on Vita during that 2 day glitch when they let everything work on Vita

I expect it to be exclusive, but if the only thing Activision does not own in Crash 1-3 is the code, then a "ground up remaster" could very well get rid of that and also release on other systems. As I said, I don't expect it to, but it is strange that if they did not say exclusive, because usually console publishers are quite keen on touting exclusivity. Nevertheless, now that we know what the Crash return is, my stance is: If it comes to NX or Xbox One, I'll buy it, but I don't need to buy a PS4 for it, especially since I have just recently played through the original games. Personally, I think Crash 2 is the best, but Crash 1 is considerably better than the all-over-the-place Crash 3.
I like Crash's design in SKylanders.
There is a reason I decided recently to not bother going on Gaf much anymore and its from the toxic community sometimes here. These recent announcements for Crash are honestly great and they want to slowly introduce the Crash IP to both new generations and older generations.
Having a remaster/remake of the first three games is a very smart first move with Crash and him being in Skylanders is only going to help the IP's growth in the future.
I'm sick of people getting bitter over petty nonsense and I agree; we should be happy with the news and recent announcements. Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft and everyone is having a great E3 so far.
