I don't think there's a team in the league that wouldn't try and get Draymond suspended for another game.

Well, he should've already been suspended so excuse me if I don't shed a tear. Live by the dirty, die by the dirty.

I also like how GS fans believe LBJ when he said he didn't notice it but don't believe any other word out of his mouth, like whether he watched a movie or not.

That's why Robert Horry slammed Steve Nash into the sideboards. Can you imagine if Duncan did that?
Exactly!

Though what Horry did was on another level of bullshit (though I will always love him as a Lakers fan). But I would have lost a lot of respect for Duncan if he resorted to that shit. You are a superstar because you can control the game with your play. Don't resort to that bullshit, it is beneath you.

Lebron is such a weirdo in some ways. He seems like a model citizen and never gets in trouble off the court. He just says and does some weird ass shit in interviews like that Godfather stuff and his whole passive aggressive MVP shit. Sometimes he makes it hard to like him on the court, but honestly he seems like a really good person. I guess the pressure of trying to pull Cleveland out of 50 years of shit can wear on a person.

Yeah, lobbying for that and Lebron snitching is lame, but whatever. The only reason they could lobby was because of all the flagrant points so that's on Draymond to be smarter. Really my anger with all that has faded to fear of losing after game 5.

You could be up 3-0 and blowing the team out by 20 and you'd still be fearful.

I might be late on this

Zach Lowe on his Lowe Post podcast

"The Cavs wanted him suspended for two games. I can tell you that. They wanted it to be a flagrant 2 and to have him suspended for Game 5 and Game 6."

a grand smh

I'm guessing you didn't listen to the rest of the podcast... Both Zach and JVG state pretty categorically that the controversy around the Cavs breaking some "unwritten rule" is bullshit. Teams lobby to the NBA constantly for flagrants, more foul calls, technicals, suspensions, etc. There is not a team in the NBA that is not going to do everything they can to get an edge in a series. Phil Jackson, greatest coach of all time, was a master of this shit. As usual, because LeBron was involved it becomes something completely out of the ordinary that reinforces that he is a bitch made, cry-baby, choker, flopping, whining loser.

grand smh indeeed

Local sports radio is stupid but I believe that LeBron has never seen the Godfather

itgn3sr.png

He should have stuck a piece of orange in his mouth and fallen over
then looked to a ref for a call.

Lebron - I've been watching Godfather nonstop these past few months.
Reporter - Lebron, what's your favorite Godfather quote?
Lebron - All of them

Would love to see it go 7, but still think GS wins tonight. CLE blew out GS with really good defense in Game 3, defense they haven't replicated since. Game 5 was GS bricking a bunch of wide open shots, something I don't anticipate happening again.

I feel like Steve Kerr and the rest of the team downplaying Draymond's antics and saying the kick to the balls should be a no call is the same shit. You can't exactly fault the opposing team just because they are the opposing team.

I just hope Kerr takes tonight serious. Start the death lineup and lean on it as much as possible. Strength in numbers is a nice ideal, but there's a limit fam.

He could start Ezeli and just play him for like 10 min. But I somehow doubt that...The started Iggy over Bogut last year for the rest of the finals. I would expect the same

I want him to start the death lineup too. Someone on the 2nd unit has to provide a spark though. I hate when Kerr rests Steph and Dray at the same time. Seems like the offense gets stagnant unless Klay happens to go off. Ball movement just dies.

I don't think minutes will be a problem. There's only 2 games left potentially with plenty of rest in between. Kerr is going to stick to the core for long periods and have the bench plug in as little as possible.

It can go either way tonight. I think the Cavs will come out on fire. The Warriors need to make their shots tonight. I'm looking at you Steph and Klay.

All I know is one hell of a Game 6 is going down. Should be fun!

David Jacoby (of Jalen & Jacoby) was also hung up over whether LeBron was lying about the Godfather movies on yesterday's show.

Of all the stupid, mundane things to get bogged down on. I mean, really, who cares. Why would LeBron lie about watching the movies, and why would anyone care if he did. Stop wasting airwaves with such trivialities.

Draymond played 38 minutes out of a total 41 at center in game 6 last year. I think he can get 38 minutes out of him tonight, which leaves just 10 minutes for Ezeli and Varejao to fill in at center. If they can just not be a disaster for 5 minutes each we're in business.

Ezeli is a disaster after one minute. By then he already has two fouls.

Godfather III is like the last two seasons of Game of Thrones: Once the writers stopped adapting the book, they had no idea how to make a coherent story.

(I'm not a GS fan)

I think LeBron didn't really get hit because of how he reacted, not what he said in the press conference. We saw him flop 30 feet when his teammate's elbow grazed his face but he didn't do anything when smacked in the balls? Doesn't seem likely. The man crumbles to the ground with even the slightest contact to bait referees into blowing the whistle and complains nonstop every time he misses a shot. He neither fell nor bitched therefore I don't think he was hit.

It's not a terrible film on its own merits but it is terrible when compared to the first two. It really is best to watch the first two and then stop. There really isn't even a need to tell that story given how part 2 ends

It has some bad acting, notably sofia coppola, but it has redeeming qualities. The ending is cool.

This season of GoT is very good and coherent, no idea what Giggle is talking about. Some issues here and there but nothing more than that. The biggest change is faster pacing.

I have issues with how most of the plot and character arcs are playing out (little consistency or logic scene to scene, characters lack growth) but enjoy the one-off conversation scenes (Jamie/Brienne, Sansa/Littlefinger, etc) a lot. But, yeah, I'm one of those book fans who can't stand how the adaptation has tarnished Martin's work. I just have to keep telling myself that they're different stories, they're different stories, they're different stories, but it bums me out most of the country thinks this is what has excited readers for decades.

Readers haven't been excited about Song of Ice and Fire for decades. The last two books sucked, and Martin gleefully talking about how he's incorporating new plot twists into the story gives me no hope that he has anything planned or that we'll get a satisfying conclusion.

Whenever the next book comes out.

Edit: LeBron is Danaerys, there topic-related
