The "first season" is Phantom Blood AND Battle Tendency.
They never split it up during broadcast or on the DVD that WB put out.
I mean, if it's really just PB that they're putting out first, they're going to have a really hard time selling it.

I think it makes more sense that it's split up between parts imo instead of traditional seasons, it's more organized for distribution and marketing I guess.

It makes sense but the issue is that it's only 9 episodes. Hopefully it's available at a significantly cheaper price because of it.
I hope there's a really expensive collectors edition with a replica of the stone mask

he says it lets him read anything his body has experienced in his life but being dead would probably be a blank since that's not being alive. the most he could find is DIO piercing Joseph to drain his blood probably.
