NX could really become an incredible platform for games, games, games. It might even have such a high software output that every single one of Nintendo's franchises gets at least one title.
I'd be down to get a new Wave Race with graphics close to what Xbox One could do, along with a new 1080 Snowboarding, Punch-Out, and F-Zero. I mean...these are games in Nintendo's aresenal that aren't guaranteed to see a release each generation for either their handheld or console at the time.
Wii U was a powerful machine but nearly as strong as Xbox One and PS4, but Nintendo did gorgeous things with it. How good did Mario Kart 8 look on a system with 1gb of RAM? Every game from Nintendo could look gorgeous on this thing. And there could quite easily be dozens and dozens released over NX's lifespan. That's an exciting thought.
One system that's guaranteed to have a new Metroid, Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, etc. I don't doubt Nintendo's software output here...not at all.
I just really hope that the Tegra X1 will be strong enough to run what third parties want to release on all systems. If NX is a sales juggernaut and is in the hands of 20 million gamers in its first 18 months, then as long as it's capable to run titles like Grand Theft Auto 6, Final Fantasy XVI, Mass Effect 5, and so forth, publishers and developers will definitely put their games on the platform.
I'll have more confidence that NX will have awesome third party support if it's got a Tegra X2 in it, just because it will then be more likely for third parties to be able to put their software on it. Here's to the unveil.

Oh and that is a video I made of how the controller could possibly work.
