Each game download includes the emulator which is about 500MB.
Thanks. Kind of a bummer you have to download that every time.

Man, they'll write books about these genius engineers. Such outside of the box thinking, emulating the OS instead of the hardware. What you are really downloading is an encapsulated virtual machine image that contains both the game and the X360 OS, tweaked for best performance. The actual emulator part probably isn't 500MB, but each image has to contain a copy of the 360 firmware, support files, etc. so that accounts for much of the extra space. For every BC game on your X1, you have a separate copy of all that 360 stuff. Seems wasteful but it's probably the best solution given the circumstances.

Oh true ignore me then, it's not actually unprecedented. Well it sort of is for gaming I suppose, but I am not very informed on that topic either so it might not be. I wonder why Sony isn't trying to emulate the PS3 OS as well.It does both, like all emulators have to. The OS was just very simple before 360/PS3/Wii. It basically running a virtual machine like you can do on any PC to say run a Mac or something.

With Scorpio as strong as it it, could it be full BC, no need for a wrapper and re-license games? It could play the games straight from DVD with no need to install? It could literally play every 360 game?

Are they ever going to add Forza Horizon!?

Oblivion is as well, but not sure if that is coming to BC or not![]()
Weird. Even that build doesn't sound right though.I'm seeing it as 1.0.1603.41518.
I will say some of the games they add to the BC list at times... Why? Garbage tier nonsense.

Out of curiosity, what region are you?
What you consider garbage someone else might like. They should keep adding as much as possible to appeal to as many as possible. Most of my personal wanted titles are nowhere near the most requested and if all we got were the popular AAA games I wouldn't care about the service at all.
Different strokes and all that.
I get that, but there is times I look at the new additions and think... that was a title released on the 360?

Anyone who got an XB1S should give Banjo Nuts&Bolts a shot. To my eyes it's running better than it ever did on 360.
