omg so good. fucking moth in my apartment was trying to get in on the game but we killed it.

Hey collect this thing so you can leave.

BUT FUCKING DON'T TOUCH IT.

The aiming is booty, too, so you end up just standing in front of it and plugging away once you finally get a good weapon.

And they randomly show up. I don't know if it's because of the awful draw distance, but god damn.
 
Anyone know if you can locate waypoints on planets that you've discovered? I want to return to where I started on the planet but it's too big lol
 
Started on a ice planet and omfg first creature I came across was a giant preying mantis. ;y; Ahhh I love the feel of this game already! I'll post pics as soon as my ISP fixes their current outage in my area.
 
Was loving the game... walking around.. gathered what I needed and BOOM.. hard lock up of my PS4... second crash.

Edit: FUCK.. yep none of the last hour saved... ok that just killed my passion tonight. Seriously what a pain..
 
What a strange little starter planet. Life is rare but every single turn seems to beg a screenshot and hold secrets. I almost want to stay longer but the sky beckons and my resources are looking well stocked.
 
Online servers are down right ?
Keeps saying "connecting to online services..." in the menu and some of my discoverings didnt register. I cannot switch pages on the discoveries too, says 1/3 but the arrows do nothing :(

click the left stick.... it tells you where to find the stuff that you need... they practically hold your hand man...

That I get. I don't get how if I'm looking around to make sure one isn't going to fly in my ass, that it suddenly appears behind me or whatever. I hope this isn't a constant thing, because it's annoying.
 
Not sure if my PC can run this. My specs are pretty outdated. I'm running Intel Core i5-2500k and a GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST. Not sure if it would be cheaper to upgrade specs or just run out and buy a PS4 if I really wanted to try this, and I really, really do.
 
Is there a way to wipe and just restart. My starting planet is actually hell and I have a ten minute walk both ways between the key resource I need

I've been clicking it everywhere I go. I'm not fucking kidding I've walked around this starter planet for 40 minutes now and I have not found Zinc at all. Carbon, Iron, Plutonium, Heridium in fucking droves. No Zinc.

Min specs were something ultra low like a 2.4 quad core and gtx 480.

Minimum requirement is a GTX 480 and an i3. You might be able to.

A friend of mine was just playing and had this happen to him.

Is there auto saving? Or do you have to be at a beacon or your ship?

First hour...

1) Game takes a little while to figure it out but once you do a little light bulb turns on and you really get to it.

2) Amazing mood built on audio. There really is a sense of unknown as you wander your planet.

3) Discovering things is fantastic.. unlike anything else I have ever played.

4) Sadly my first play time ended with a nasty PS4 lock up and the loss of my first hour.

Overall its so unique... hard to describe and as you can see in this thread everyone is having their own experience on their own planet.

Also FUCK space cops... I do not understand why they are there. Just let me explore and get my feet wet.

It auto saves when you get into your ship... sadly I was a mile away when it happened and was on my way back as I had just gathered what I needed. Really REALLY broke the feeling I was having but I will get over it and try it again I guess..
 
I keep getting a message that I have unclaimed items and get them from the options screen. I don't see where they are. How do I find them?

You can almost certainly still run this as is, but both the Nvidia 1060 and the AMD 480 are really, really good mid-range cards and cost less than a PS4 while significantly outperforming it. You can throw in extra RAM (dirt cheap right now) and it would still be cheaper than a new console.
 
I'm feeling this game, but I'm also not feeling it at the same time. Some of the design decisions are absolutely stupid. The space cops, for one, are far too much. At least where I started, anyway.

And my first planet had acid rain, causing my suit to just get tore into. Most of the materials were placed too far away from my ship, so trying to get there was awful.

Had two hard crashes as well.

But when it works, it's peaceful and fun. It's just not explaining itself at all, which is some bullshit depending on how hard your starting area is.
