Seems like Amazon fucked up on shipping pre-ordered NMS to some customers. This was my first game pre-ordering from them. I typically do my game business digitally.

Ended up getting for like $27 after bb screwed up yesterday and gave me a discount. So far it's kinda fun, but man the pop-in, crappy textures, and low frame rate(how on earth did anyone think this was 60) are kind of off putting. Might see if I can run this on pc

Man my first planet was pretty nice and a good amount of resources, but its moon ended up being so lush and vibrant and the night time looked so awesome too.

I will get it on PC at a later date during a steam sale once the mods start coming. I'm loving it on the ps4 for now though.
I think it might well be inevitable that someone ends up making a multiplayer mod for the game.
i just sell it ... had a planet full with gold so i mined that for a few hours

It's more possible that there is no way for them to see/interact with each other, period. Give up this hope for NMS MP, for the love of god.

Gotta say, this LE box is snazzy.
Considering how dodgy the team's been when talking about actual multiplayer and the fact that they never actually showed footage(to my knowledge) of two players spotting each other, I think it's far more likely they didn't bother making it possible because of how unlikely it was.
Which is a shame, but understandable.

Your alert level should flash green when you've gotten their attention, stop what you're doing for a few seconds and they'll move on. Or one shot them with a plasma grenade.

I have zero hope or care for MP, just thought Murray commented on being able to see/ minimally interact with another player if they ever met each other, but he said it'd be very very very rare that that happened.

In the options section there are "records" some have names and some have ?????. I assume and I'm hoping that these are all the important locations on the planet? Once I discover all in that list that is it?
Also in terms of mining gun technology I'm a bit confused. Is there only one gun and on technology for all things you can mine? Or do I equip specific technologies when mining rock, plants etc?
When is the tutorial over? I want to use my pre order code.

How is there a controller situation? Just use the Xbox One or PS4 controller on PC, no issue. And for the first person mode, mouse/keyboard will likely work better. Just switch back and forth - I did that for GTA games.

You can tell it's pretty fast. It's really fun to do over huge chasm. And considering it's not really all that elite skillz required to pull off, they should just make it a feature by including a jet pack upgrade or something.

Probably WAY too early to ask this, but what's the general consensus? Worth it for someone who wants to fly to different planets and just explore? Or is the procedural generation not as diverse as one would hope?

If Neo wasn't coming out this fall I would buy a PS4 to play it. Thankfully, PC gaming is an option for me (and for third-party titles, my first option). I just bought the PC steam key on Humble, since the official website says I'm buying a key directly from Hello Games this way, so hopefully they get a bigger cut of the sale. Will be great to play during the weekend. Please be a good port.

So I believe Mining is glitched.
When you use your mining beam, the little heat bar rises up. If it starts flashing red, you don't have to wait until it goes all the way down. Just stop mining for a second, then start again. The bar will reset by itself.
