I don't think my game is syncing up with the servers at all. When ever I press and hold triangle to rename the planets I've discovered nothing happens.

And I still get that "you have unredeemed items blah blah" message, but have no idea how to make it go away when I go into options.

My OCD is killing me with this game !

In the options section there are "records" some have names and some have ?????. I assume and I'm hoping that these are all the important locations on the planet? Once I discover all in that list that is it?

Those are the animal species that exist on the planet. Scanning them all gives you a bonus (usually several hundred thousand units) and goes into your stats.

Go to options then the options menu on the far right and redeem content, then redeem anything in there

I made it. Im alive meeting is over.

Suddenly I feel sick. Gotta go home. Cough cough sniffle cough. Sniffle.

36 free hours to play starting when I get home. Fuck. Yes.

So there is absolutely no Zinc on my starting planet! How do I leave!? Am I stuck here forever? Might as well inhabit a cave.

Zinc is found at plants you can interact with, not destroy. It took me a while to realise that. Use your scanner and seek out the appropriate icons, you'll find some eventually.

The game makes you feel so small i've only been on two planets so far and I find it overwhelming.

I do think this type of gaming experience is for the more laid back gaming crowd.

How is there a controller situation? Just use the Xbox One or PS4 controller on PC, no issue. And for the first person mode, mouse/keyboard will likely work better. Just switch back and forth - I did that for GTA games.

The new anniversary update for Windows 10 apparently breaks DS4 drivers. Has that changed?

It seems silly to see a planet at nearly -60C temperature, but be full of forests and grass and lizard animals. I'm seeing the guy freeze to death while everything around him is just thriving as if there is no cold. Like, the atmosphere does not hint to be a cold one.

Stream of two players basically in the same spot. Unfortunately, they can't see each other. Someone suggested space stations are different instances to avoid users getting through an Atlas Pass door opened by another, which makes sense to me. They're about to fly to the same spot on the nearby planet or around the space station to see what happens.

Probably WAY too early to ask this, but what's the general consensus? Worth it for someone who wants to fly to different planets and just explore? Or is the procedural generation not as diverse as one would hope?
While it is too early to say for sure, as I have only been to two systems, the procedural generation in terms of the actual planets can feel a bit... Same-y, at least planets in the same system. And yet... I'm really enjoying it anyway. Picking a direction to walk in and just stumbling upon different structures, relics, new species, a gold mine, whatever... It very much does feel like it's a place that I'm discovering. I'm enjoying it very much.

Whether or not what is here justifies $60 to you is something that probably only you can answer, as from a feature perspective I guess it may seem quite limited. But it doesn't feel that way, and there seems to be at least some semblance of a main quest which I'm following ATM.

So I said mild spoilers for the immediate beginning but still kinda specific:

I said no to the red orb at the start and I imagine that's what gives me a "AtlasPassv1". Will I be able to find/build my own or is that just locked out for now.

Just booted it up and going in completely blind. Liking it so far and feeling pretty good, if not a bit lost. Got off the first planet and wasn't sure where to go next so I just took off for the closest planet. Is there any easy way to find space stations?

You don't get it from that, you will get it later if you just follow the questlines.

No idea then lol. I'm yet to find all the species on a single planet as I have no idea how to scan flying animals.

L2 to scan, R3 to zoom in. It helps if you're higher up and if you have a steady hand to keep the bird in focus. Took me a while to manage.
That bird is most likely your missing ?????

Please tell me that despite coming across a planet or creature already discovered by another player, I can still change its name for me alone even if the database entry has already been recorded.

It's what is burning me the most not being able to play it right now. Seeing a bunch of sophomoric joke planets and animals.

You don't get
an AtlasPass by saying yes,
I don't have one either. :(

How do I use my laser shot instead of the mining beam? They both say to use R2

Triangle to switch modes.

Thanks for the tip, will try it out later, hopefully it works!

From what i read on a wiki, you need to find an atlas artefact (those speaking monolith i guess), and the first contact with them will allow you to craft the pass. I didn't saw any of them though

So, Im sure this has been discussed a billion times, but for those of us that did the "use the DLC ship, which ruined the tutorial", is there a good way to recorrect the initial request or should I delete save and start over?
