No Man's Sky |OT| Hello Worlds.

Just checked amazon and NMS is completely out of stock, "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months.". I know it won't take that long, but this is the first time in a while that I can remember a major game release going out of stock on amazon. Decided to check all my local brick and mortar stuff, not in stock anywhere in town. :(

Waited to see if it was worth picking up, but I guess I'll just have to wait a little longer now!

Ah. Just got a distress signal for one of the freighters or capital ships in the system, joined in with the pirates instead for the first time, stole a bunch of shit from the ship (over 150k worth in like 10 seconds) and only got aggro from the sentinels. Just barely made it back to the space station to get the heat off. Damn that was awesome. Eventually, I'd attack the freighter, then the pirates. Then the sentinels.

If you join the pirates do they still attack you?

No, literally only got any aggro from the Sentinels, and only one star for the time I was there I think.

Actually, I can see in the radar that the fight is still going on out there, I may still be wanted. But, I sold off the stolen goods and saved, so this is viable even if I die when I get back out there.

I don't know if anyone else encountered this, but I ran into a physics related bug.

I landed on a planet and when I exited my ship I was ragdolled and launched into the air like 3 miles away from where I landed, receiving fall damage. Thankfully I didn't die because the in-game timer said I was 9 minutes away from my ship by foot. What the hell.

Maybe it was the Land Worm!

This game is reaching a huge demographic. Young and old.

Whelp. Just restarted. The stamina warning message would NOT go away and was blocking my objective prompts :(

New starter planet is a rainy, toxic one with crazy tall pyramid spires and loads of different fungus and friendly animals. Found all the necessary stuff easily and got the ship to orbit in under 45 minutes or abouts. Hoping my luck continues!

Ok time to hop back in.

Tonight I keep looking for a new ship and learn more alien words :)
Want to farm some Units too.
Might warp deeper too, get closer to the next Atlas
Path
thing.
Game is role play heaven.

Getting the suspension fluid recipe makes life a lot easier. Can't believe it's only 50 carbon, though.
Literally said; "What the fuck!?" after I found out how cheap it was.
Cost me so much money to fuel my ship initially that it was the reason I never bought a new one.

Now I'm just waiting for the right ship. Still in the pre-order one.
(game machanic spoiler maybe I don't know)
Now I'm dogfighting. Stupid pirates jumping me when I have a cargo hold full of Titanium. "I'm immortal you wankers. You need more!" 4 Ships shot down so far.

But what am I grinding for? Better equipment so I can grind more efficiently?

I mean, have you decided what your goal is? Are you trying to get to the center of the universe? Trying to learn the langauge and lore of one of the species? Make a warship and start flying system to system fucking up every freighter you find?

*dies*
*reloads*
*has a death marker and picks up my loot thats already on me*

what

cloning glitch confirmed!

other fun glitches with reloading are buying a ship and then reloading, your old ship has the new ships look till you reboot.

Do the ship upgrades make a big difference? I'm getting torn to shreds with the starter ship. Pirates are OP for my poor ship. ;(

Why do anything more than once in any game? And how many hours in are you? I haven't had to grind for anything yet.

I desperately need a new ship. I'm still on my starter and it's not cutting it anymore.

I would like to have enough inventory space to collect things I pick up without having to reshuffle every 30 seconds.

I'm sure this has been asked so forgive me if I missed it but how easy is it to backtrack and go back to a planet you've visited? Is there any way to mark the location or anything or will you probably get lost if you go too far away?

I barely did any grind for my first 15 hours and had an awesome time. A point comes where you get sucked into the tech improvement loop and grinding gets really compelling - for new ships, weapons, resources, etc. Just starting to get dull for me now after about six hours of grind so I'm focusing on finding cool planets now and making his leaps to the center.

But if you don't feel like grinding focus on objectives, finding alien stuff, and travelling to new systems. There is other stuff to do b

Questions:

1) is there any way to call your ship to you if you walked a long distance? Like to an outpost or something?

2) where is the map? I found an outpost near a platinum mine and wanted to fly my ship back to it but the moment I hopped in the icon disappeared.

Poked my head out of the space station and heard Sentinels inbound. Pulse jumped straight out the door past the fight. They tried to interdict but I made it out of their range. Neat

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
i just spend 10 minutes plus saling everything i had basically to get this bomb ass looking ship.. 500k lol .....

error

😑

Link?

Asking for a friend.

see half a page up, I just did it

1) was on a planet (save on a planet)
2) went up, got bored, shot things, died to sentinels (suicide)
3) my parts were damaged so I said nope and reloaded back 5m (reload pre death)
4) death marker stays

someone test away

Sure.

Spoilers:

1. Journey to the centre of the universe
2. Follow the Atlas path and discover their mysteries (DO NOT SELL YOUR ATLAS STONES)
3. Freely explore the universe

Great so I have to lose more inventory slots because I'm going to be carrying Atlas stones everywhere? Come on.

It feels like we need to absue black holes considering movement is like .1% of the entire thing even at this point...
so how do we go about abusing them!

I already went through one. If you see a thing called ' space anomaly' pop up go there

By the way

Its fucking awesome

Then don't waste time exploring planets too thoroughly; start trying to move system to system faster so you have more planets to scout. There are planets incredibly rich in valuable materials, so if that's your hurry I'd start scouting one out so you can buy another 10+ slots for your exosuit.

You'll also obviously want to keep an eye out for planets with heavy drop ship placement. For me so far these tend to either be actual mining planets that have the big 10+ ship trading platforms scattered across the surface or the really dead planets with no flora or fauna and are really easy to pick out against the surface.

NOPE

1 yeah call ship to an outpost with a landing platform by building a bypass chip and using it

2 no map, but if you use the scanner to zoom in on buildings it will give you a little white dot to signify they are there

You can also scan from space

Wait, you can seriously join the Pirates??

This just keeps getting better!
