39 here and I'm really enjoying NMS.

This coming from a GTA Online junky.

So much serenity in NMS, peaceful exploration of the universe and it's inhabitants is such a breath of fresh air compared to what I'm used to. Still love GTA, but it's nice to have a break with such a beautiful game.

Not that I could see. This was on my first or second planet and since it wasn't active I didn't bother too much with it since I thought it might be something when I'm more advanced within the game.

Scanning birds is literally the most challenging activity in the game.

Does anyone know how to build an electron vapor? I have the ingredients necessary, a suspension fluid and zinc yet there is no option to build it (or really anything) in my inventory.

I'm very confused as to the whole building process. Do I need a recipe? if so where do I get it?

Oh I was meaning to ask if anyone found a portal yet? I've done a LOT of planet scouring and not found one yet. Is it possible they were cut? I mean clearly they wouldn't work like in the trailer anyway since it has to load the system in just like warping.

I saw a portal once but it was turned off..

I've been hating on this game a lot in this thread but man... When you get on a really amazing planet it really does take your breath away. I do have to give it up for how they've managed to maintain such a beautiful art style procedurally

Does anyone know if ship upgrades transfer when you buy a ship? I just got the Warp Reactor Sigma upgrade so I'd rather not use the rare materials it requires on my starter ship if it won't transfer over to a new one.

Getting real bad graphical bugs today. Objects are appearing broken/ artifacting.

Is anyone else getting this issue? It happens on both of my ps4s. I started a new game thinking it was a bad save but it's still happening.

I crashed into a floating copper rock in mid air, got stuck inside, died from collision damage over time, and now my ship is stuck on top of the copper out of reach of my jet pack or mining laser.

I can't find any way to recover it or continue playing the game.

Wow, never that bad. I've been bumped up to the upper atmosphere, but only when I launch from a weird landing spot (like after I landed on top of a tree).

My spouse loves this game. Will probably be a "Top 5 Greatest of All Time" for them.

I do not like this game. I do not find it engaging in the least. When it was revealed that you could never actually interact face to face with other real people my interest went to zero. I knew it wasn't a MP game but I thought it would be neat to run into other travelers and eventually meet up with my spouse.

That's okay. Not every game is for every person. People need to chill and if you don't like it just sell it on eBay and buy something else.

Wander around the planet looking for a ship recall terminal. They are found around points of interest.

yup it happens im pretty sure the cause is when you land and some of your ship chips in the ground.... ive stopped it though just hold down the left stick sometimes works

I havent seen any instances of hacking. Stealth? Nope. Big crashed ships? Nope to that either.

Hrm...either theyre extremely rare or removed...with 10 million discoveries, yous think someone wouldve found one...

....then again in the 10+ hours of playing, Ive only had one distress signal and there were allied fighters heading towards a destination(I chose to not go).

Each planet has lots of beacons that can summon your ship, try and find one

So what's everyone finding to be the best way to upgrade various blue prints?

Just getting started, and I have a TON. Should I be focusing on one blue print at a time, see what resources I need, and then explore a planet or two to gather? Or should I not worry, gather what I can, and then check what I can make periodically?

Seems overwhelming when something needs a ton of resources and I have no idea if the planet even has that particular one or not.

Anyway, I'm surprised I'm having as much fun with the game as I am. Don't know how long that will last when the sense of discovery wears off, but I'm enjoying myself so far.

Probably have to hope you can find another ship. I was lucky and found two on my first planet.

Is anyone else finding it really hard to tag all the species on a planet for the zoology milestone? I regularly get to 1 or 2 species left and cannot find them, and when I finally did the milestone never even popped! Also, tagging some of those birds that change direction a lot FUCKING SUCKS SEAN MURRAY.

Yup... on top of all that... i found 100% of my second planet and it didnt even register... i was missing about 4 species but it said 100% then i FOUND the 4, and nothing. i didnt get the 100% upload credits... i didnt get the milestone... just a number 100% on the page. im pissed... i spent a LOT of time looking for all those on planet 2.

Arguably using bypass modules is 'hacking'. Also, the little math puzzles at observatories.

I'll be surprised if it's in at this point. If it is it must be so extremely rare. So far it's been outposts, crashed ships and monoliths with the occasional ruin. Generally anything AI involved at least I'd say is cut. They seem completely unaware of each other.
