As someone who loved ONLY this in Minecraft and who still has a huge love affair with The Long Dark, I think I'm back on board.
Yeah, mainly why I'm so excited. I guess some people just don't get that appeal in exploration, but that was my favorite thing in Minecraft. Didn't care about building or crafting or multiplayer or farming. The best thing was just setting off in a direction and seeing what's out there. Finding a cave network, planning your descent (need materials for outposts, torches, sand to cushion landings on big drops, weapons, etc.), and then just exploring below. Seeing some massive ravine or overhang was thrillingIf you love discovery, then this game is for you. If you love to explore various locales, then its for you.
My favorite parts in minecraft too was finding huge cave networks to explore, nd I adore NMS.
I walking across Skyrim, RDR, GTA V. People-watching at a slow stroll is one of my favorite things to do in GTA
So yeah, I'm very excited about NMS

Have some questions about NMS caves:
1) How deep do they go?
2) Are there multi-layered ones like Minecraft? Big caverns or mostly tunnels?
3) Do they get dark?
