Final fantasy XV might have 3 theme songs

Had a listen to it.

I Will Be is the weakest of the lot for me, but still solid enough if you think of it as an instrumental.

I wasn't sold on Stand By Me following on from the Uncovered event, but the full version has won me over. That was great.

But Too Much is Not Enough is perhaps the surprise here. I think it's the best track from the EP and is actually perhaps the best Florence song in a long, long time. Incredible.

Yeah, this one is pretty fantastic. Seems it was written specifically for XV too.

So what? At least I have the strength to fight
 
Urgh, really want to listen to these. Florence and the Machine is a seemingly strange choice for FF, but, I think, potentially an inspired one.
 
Gimme Stand By Me, I've been living off a dodgy Youtube rip for months. I'm curious how the licensing works with Square/Florence/original song owners, because it's such a great cover I hope it does well independently of FFXV.

I'm still extremely surprised we don't have VA confirmation when the release date is so close. We still haven't heard in-game Luna. I thought we knew the XII/XIII casts a bit before the game came out?

You know, I haven't thought of this before but we're a month and a half away from the game's release and we still don't know most of the VA lol

I love how little overall information we have about the game.
I mean, we haven't even really seen a dungeon yet, besides a couple areas that seemed more like test maps.
 
I like how it sounds, but I never could have imagined this game with anything but Yoko music.

I know Versus wouldn't have this lol.

I think it's more of a case where the game has both a main theme and a lyrical theme.

Like how FFX had both Zanarkand and Suteki da Ne as its main themes.

Love all 3 tracks!

'Too Much Is Never Enough' - It is atmospheric, sad yet refreshing/upliftng at the same time.

Stand By Me - urgh just so amazing! Glad the first half is restrained before the belting starts for the second half

I Will Be - weird one...not really got many lyrics. Is a gapra whitewood (FFXIII) type of song. Pretty grand though.

Wish Leona Lewis had similar work put in for XIII's song, that girl can sing! Still can't believe My Hands was what they picked out of her discography :(

Edit: also if this was still a nomura directed versus xiii we would still most likely be getting english vocal songs anyway! Somnus is still in the game anyway! Get over it.
 
Holy shit, Too Much Is Never Enough is actually so good. I didn't expect that.

Much better than Stand By Me. Too Much Is Never Enough stands well on its own without being a cover of an old, iconic song.

How can you be so sure when Kingdom Hearts have Utada Hikaru, OLIVIA and plenty Disney songs? Also musics by Ishimoto and Sekito aplenty.
 
I love this sort of thing, adds a bit more variety to the whole thing instead of the usual dramatic latin 8 verse songs weve been getting since forever. The shift from japanese to english is getting more and more pronounced now too. Just look at FFXIV.
