Found a cave with tones of cubes on the floor and trade drove outside of it I made 2 million units in no time, It must of been a bug as some cubes disappeared when i walked close to them...

Landed on a jungle world last night that, despite frequent rain storms, had tones of gold and other resources. Except plutonium. Set out to find a cave system so I could mine some for fuel but no luck. Walked for a good 10 minutes until I came across a deep hole in the ground with water at the bottom. Jumped in and found an underwater cave entrance that led to a huge series of flooded tunnels. Ended up getting lost wandering around for ages until I finally seen light, a small opening in the side of the cave with just enough space to squeeze out that dropped out into the ocean.

Should have reinstalled my grenade launcher haha.

Did you open your star map after you accepted?
If you watch that video the guy somehow had a straight shot to the center. I cant believe they would put a black hole as my next waypoint.

I got a black hole too. So exactly the same as you. Now I'm slowly making my way to the center.

Milestone notifications are just bad because it prevents you from interacting with anything for a good few seconds while you just sit there waiting for the notification to go away.

Also I would have expected the game to have stellar phenomenon...Nebulas, Pulsars, Binary star systems, or even ringed planets. Would have been cool to see a system that does not have a star but rather a black hole that the Planets orbit. The black holes you see in this game are basically small wormholes since they can be right next to a planet and allow you to travel distances quickly.

The milestones drive me crazy, sometimes its been going off every couple of minutes. There's milestones for every little thing. How they didn't think that was a good I dont understand. Theirs a reason achievements/trophies are as un-intrusive as possible(and you can even turn them off).

There's lots of bad design decisions in this game that I thought an established developer would not make, but it seems this game may have stretched them beyond their limit.

Having to take a break at the moment, currently on a storm filled murder planet but on trying to leave I get immediately ganked by a swarm of pirates. This is not a fun system, all the planets and moons have been completely horrific.

Had a good night with the game, crashing aside. Have 5 of the key items, we'll see how many it actually takes but I'm tempted to start taking the shortcuts. Spent a lot of time trying to get all the species on a planet, which was actually the most fun I've had so far. Things flow a lot better when you have more upgrades and inventory room. Mostly targeting earth-like planets/moons as they seem to be full with life. Space travel has been a lot of fun as well, using the curvature of the planets to take shortcuts to places of interst. Was on a few planets today with multiple moons and a lot of life, lots of picturesque moments.

I get desolate planets are a part of space and is accurate, but holy shit are they boring. Absolutely no reason to stay on them at all. Also the suit this dude is wearing is a beast. Toxic storm coming your way? Dive right into that giant ocean of toxic water to restore your suit functionality; that couldn't possibly be worse than the storm that is occuring. But by the way you have like 1 minute of air while you are underwater, cause reasons. A lot of just bizarre design choice that felt like they were made independently of one another and in the end just don't fit well.

Do it quickly... I remember seeing the same thing for gold, so I went and farmed it for a few hours only to return to the same station where it was now only going for 2.7 lol

Same thing happened to me. Sat at the terminal thinking "wtf did I leave the system they were a high value commodity in a tired, played too long stupor?"

Edit: Like others said, big asteroids for iridium. I haven't found anywhere as somewhat consistent to get it.

Waaaaaat. Jeez, how far in are you? The most expensive ship I've seen so far was about 7 million.

Lol just found one for 101 million credits. 48 inventory spaces. I think that's the maximum, the whole inventory grid is full, and considering I have 48 inventory spaces on my exosuit and can't buy more that's probably the limit for the ships too.

It's nothing much different from what you see. Mine is one of those that resemble a small freighter, except with wings with turbines.

My ship cost 22 million and have 40 inventory. I'm really not grinding 80 million for just 8 more.

Im so hungry for units I am pretty much skipping any planet that isnt teeming with rare resources. Land, scan, fly somewhere else, scan, nothing? Next planet. I might snap a pic if its nice. The hunger for power is slowly taking over my yerning for exploration and adventure.

I just played for like 16 hours straight.

Got my suit's slots fully maxed out:
0

And got a 31 slot ship:

Man, I know that the max number of slots on a ship is 48, but it's gonna hurt having to redo the upgrades when I eventually get one (they cost freaking 60-100 million). Look how NEAT my upgrades are!

And even though it looks like that isn't much space left for items on the ship, since I have so much exosuit space (especially after I finish the Atlas quest and get rid of all the damn Atlas stones) I haven't had any issues with inventory management at all.

Phew. I'm burnt out. Probably be a few days before I consider playing again.

After having a great time on a toxic planet with frenzied Sentinels attacking me every move my next planet is straight up paradise with animals everywhere, green and lush with an ocean and floating islands. Amazing. Wish there was a no HUD option for screenshots on PS4.

Found a planet full with Gravitino balls last night and the local space station pays top money for them. Current exosuit and ship run filled with them nets me about 1.5 million per run.

They're fun to farm too as you get a 3 star sentinel rating as soon as you pick one up. I normally scan the area away from my ship and plan a route back, picking up as many as I can on the way whilst fighting off sentinels every now and then.

I messed up and didn't notice that the atlas choice was directly next to your starting spot and broken ship. So I repaired my ship, and bailed out.

Am I screwed now? Does it give you the option at anytime in the future to jump on the Atlas path?

So do black holes really do anything? Like it travelled 1,000,000 light years, but I'm only 2000 light years closer? How will I ever get to the end lol.

When you buy or find a crashes ship, can you move over all of your inventory and upgrades?

Is it as simple as drag and drop?

Few questions, can you get a bigger grid for your suit? like with the ships?
OR does your suit max out after 3 upgrades?
Can you get more slots/bigger grid for your gun?

Does how much loot you have on you attract more pirates?

You can movie inventory, but no upgrades. Usually the ships are equally well equipped in my experience so it's not that big of an issue.

Is anyone else not naming anything? I've just been using the default names. I had serious doubts that I could sustain my creativity long enough to ensure that each planet sounded original and interesting, so I didn't bother lol.

Atlas Pass V1

Once you've reached your first Atlas Interface, the first Space Anomaly should appear in the next system you warp to. Polo and another alien will be inside the Anomaly - which looks like a standard space station, although there is also a space station in that system too - and talking to them will grant you a couple of nice pieces of loot alongside the Atlas Pass v1 recipe.

This just didn't happen for me, the other alien just gave me random crap.

Inventory is drag and drop (or rather triangle to transfer)
You cannot transfer the upgrades, you can dismantle them and rebuild them using a blueprint.
I held off until I found the ship with better upgrades, though.

Weird. Im too on a system with 100% plutonium price. I've been here since yesterday and price still didn't change.

Yes, your suit can get up to around 40-48 if I recall correctly.
You can get more for your gun as well, just have to find one in an outpost or run into an alien that gives it as a gift.

For the suit do I need an actual new suit? Or can I just keep buying more slots for the starter one?

Convert the upgrades of your current ship into raw materials and use those to repair your new ship. If you come across a ship with less free slots, make it yours and convert those upgrades. Then go back to your ship and switch over again and you have some free raw materials.

Goddamn I am having a great time with this game. Third system in (Fire and Blood System) 3 planets and each is super useful.

One (The Stormborn) is a godtier, Amazon forest like place with beautiful greenery all around, with storms and hostile sentinels to keep it interesting.

Two (The Direwolf) is a barren world with a metricton of Venomsacs that bumped me to +3 mil and got me a new ship.

Three (The Eyrie) is an ugly red planet with strange plants but a ton of wildlife and a lot of gold and heuridium.

Will stick around. Best of all, with only three planets I can do a decent amount of exploration while doing a ton of completion.

Do you mean the atlas interface? I screwed up and sold my atlas ball then started following the path to the core....

If you press R1 when you have the map up you can see the atlas interface I jumped back and go it.

oh another thing, I was thinking about this at work since I can't play the game 'till tuesday :'(.

What happens if you buy a new ship, that doesn't have fuel in it... when you're in a spacestation... and you don't have money for fuel? Game Over?
Like that DLC ship, comes without fuel, but luckily I had creds to buy some from the trading post but what if I didn't have any? Would I just be stranded in the spacestation?

You dont need fuel to take off from a landing pad.

I'm in my second star system. I noticed that another player / several of his named star systems is really close to me. The game plots me a course of 4 jumps with the standard warp drive. It's the other direction of my atlas path though.
Do you think it's worth going or should I wait till I'm further in the game and have better warp drives etc?

Edit: peachielove: know that you are not alone out there!

Edit: going by the timestamps I think I can identify his/her current system to rename some stuff they can might actually see.

My biggest complaint with this game (besides the performance issues, tedious gameplay, sluggish controls etc.) is the art style. I don't think I've played a game before that can look breathtaking one minute, and then garbage the next. I wish they went with a low poly look like Grow Home instead. It would've made some of the duller planets look a lot nicer, and it could've even helped improve performance.
