any easy way to get new multi tools? I only found one in 6+ planets , despite having 3million credits and +20 slot exo suit.
Okay, so I maxed out my Exosuit and got 48 slots.
I'm currently saving up money to upgrade my Starship too which also maxes at 48 slots.
What is the highest for a Multi-Tool. I currently have a 23 slot multi-tool and basically removed any boltcaster stuff off of it and strictly keeping it as a sort of death beam. The only reason I would consider upgrading my gun is if I wanted some Grenade expansions for delving in caves.
Is a Boltcaster ever useful or am I just better off sticking with my Death Beam Laser for both my mining a combat needs?
Just keep on visiting outposts... After about a thousand outposts I finally found one on the wall next to a Gek alien, and managed to upgrade from a 5 to 8 slot tool.any easy way to get new multi tools? I only found one in 6+ planets , despite having 3million credits and +20 slot exo suit.
Found a 16 slot multitool at a station, left the station with it and the game crashed. I didn't notice that it didn't save my progress until after I entered a black hole. So pissed.
No you don't.you will find a relic that will start you on that path if you so chooseStill in my first star system zone,do i need to buy this atlas stone from the soace station befire warping?
It costs over a million...
After the 11th one I got a waypoint to a black hole about 3 or 4 systems away and that sent me to the next galaxy

Is this a common bug?
I finally reached an extremely hot planet that had occasional firestorms, and I spent one Sol on it. However, the milestone didn't pop. On the milestone stat screen it just shows that I've survived for one Sol, and underneath that it says "Next milestone in 0.0 Sols". I hung around for a while longer to try and make something happen, but nothing did. Even when I moved on to another system and a couple of new planets, it didn't pop.
Is this a common issue and if so, is that milestone screwed for me?

I have a 22 slot ship and like a 9 slot multitool. I haven;t found any other good multi-tool yet.
No you're still in the same galaxy (Euclid)
Are there multiple galaxies?
We warp to "systems"?
I'm confusing myself with terminology.
I wonder if you got hit with the same bug as me, that it didn't save even after exiting your ship.
I almost always come across one when using bypass chips to locate settlements/outposts - hanging on the wall.any easy way to get new multi tools? I only found one in 6+ planets , despite having 3million credits and +20 slot exo suit.

I'm sitting at a space station waiting for a ship around 26-30 slots for around 3000k.
Either they are like 12 slots for a penny and a gum or 40 slots for your wife and first born....
Yea, it is confusing, has anyone been to a Galaxy that's not the one we started on?
Curious if everyone playing right now is in Euclid...

Are there more galaxies in the game than Euclid? Each warp is to a new Solar System. Galaxies (euclid the starting one) are made up of billions of solar systems. The known universe (atleast in real life) is made up of one hundred billion galaxies.
I almost always come across one when using bypass chips to locate settlements/outposts - hanging on the wall.
Also scanning for these settlements from orbit seems work.
Specific races seem to offer them more frequently I've also noticed - but being proficient in understanding them is key, they usually GIVE them away.
Ive been to about 10 systems and I don't think I have ran into the vykeen at all.In my experience, the Vykeen are your best bet to find a new multi tool. The Gex, on the other hand, are the least likely to have new multi tools for sale.

I have a 32 slot suit and a 27 slot ship, and am slumming it while mining.

Will this game seriously not let me name any planets I discover "Urectum"? Even tried it with a K and the name still got rejected :/
Gonna name every planet I find from now on "Murrayliar".

No, I have three and have never bought one.

You my lucky charm, just found an 8 slot.
I'm happy, need to reorganize the slots though.
Seriously this game handles mountain, bodies of water, and erosion generation on a next level. They should if nothing else license out this terrain generation tech
My second system had a warrior alien race in it, so almost every time I successfully answered one of the little alien mini games I got a multitool. Some of them had my slots -1, but most of them had my slots +2, so upgrading it was very fast. I think when I left the second system I already had the 24 slot tool. Some of them had omega upgrades pre-installed as well.
I've seen 60% Vy'keen and 40% Gek. Don't even know what the third species is yet.
Exactly, I feel the same way. If you read you'll learn and it becomes really interesting. Thanks for this in edit.
I am currently on the Atlas Path, and of course I will not read your spoilers, but I am glad to know that there is more after that, whatever that is.
Also, I think lot of people do not actually read the story that you get in all those monoliths, outposts and other encounters. There is quite a bit of story there, and to me it is interesting, a nice little sci-fi adventure.
when you guys say upgrades stack do you have to dismantle nearby slot to place any upgrade next to it's type for bonus?
