INSIDE is coming to PS4 on August 23rd

Anyone know if this will be available at midnight? Can't find any info at all. It's not even in the "coming soon" tab on the PS Store...

Really, really envious of everyone getting to play this for their first time. I loved this so much . One of only a few games that I've every played more than once (and in this case, almost immediately after I first finished it).

I ended up going back to Limbo which I enjoyed quite a bit back in the day. I was surprised to find that I didn't much for for it anymore. So for people that don't like Limbo but are interested in Inside, definitely give it a shot.

Yep, that's me. I never really connected with Limbo, but wanted to give Inside a shot.

If you haven't had the chance to play it, do not miss this. One of 2016's best so far, easily. Easily. And please, if it looks even remotely interesting to you, just buy it and play it. It's absolutely a case of "the less you know, the better."

Will I like? Limbo was good, never finished it due to frustration with puzzles near the end. I didn't like that I could only go a few feet before being stuck again. But I Loved the environment.

So nice I'm gonna buy it twice
once I get paid anyway.

Fantastic game. Go in as dark as you can on this. I found it to be easier than Limbo, but way more compelling. I hope the PS4 version turns out as well as the Xbox One version did.

I found the puzzles in Limbo to be pretty tedious early on but Inside is something totally different. I mean at a glance, there very much the same. And they hold a lot of similarities in tone, pacing and overall premise.

Obviously the puzzles are there and some are very elaborate while some are very simple and only require two or three steps. The way their implemented is what sets it apart however. A lot of the time they don't feel like a traditional puzzle and come across very natural and as a functioning part of the environment. It never feels like you're at the 'puzzle section' of the level, they're usually just figuring out a means to an end and rely on your intuition rather than calculation.

Better still, the game never uses the same trick in the same way again. For the four or so hours of playtime, Inside is always one upping itself and remains fresh but still familiar as certain mechanics are introduced throughout and are further refined and made more complex at the same rate you learn and understand them.

It's certainly my GOTY so far. Visual, sound and level design are above and beyond what a lot of triple A titles could hope for.

Seems to be out in Europe/Sweden now! Bought it from the online store and currently downloading to my PS4.

179 SEK (so I guess €20?), 2.076 GB.

This is the first time I've heard of this game, the art on the PSN store caught my eye, I saw the trailer and thought "This reminds me of Limbo"

Searched on neogaf and oh look... a spiritual successor to one of my favorite games from the last 5-ish years.

Bought...!

I got over 15 people into Limbo. The type of game I made people over at my apartment play and they were just hooked.

So it's that good huh?

Wow. I think you're about to be very pleased with your purchase.

Problem is the price though, which is pretty steep. :T

But I hope the game is longer and much better than the great Limbo.

Anyone planning to put up an OT?

Damn, I didn't know it was coming so soon! Now, to finish up Federation Force and play through Deus Ex first or jump into this? Decisions decisions.

Well, Inside will take you less than four hours to complete. I would assume Deus Ex is a 30-40 hour game.

OT's been up since June

I believe it's slightly longer than Limbo but not by much. It is significantly better though, that much is certain.

To anyone PS4 owners getting the game. Try and play it in a dark room with headphones or a monster surround sound system.

Amazing game. Can't wait to see the impressions thread get bumped.

Will do, just like I played Limbo. Headphone support on the PS4 controller is going to come in handy.

I'll definitely post my impressions later. I don't play many games these days, but Limbo is one that I absolutely loved.

$20 for a four hour game where you basically go from left to right... totaly worth it!

The game killed the jaded gamer Inside of me.The atmosphere... the visuals. It was Stranger Things before Stranger Things! My indy goty don't sleep on it!

Played on Xbox. It's short but very well done imo. It was worth the $20 to me and I didn't really like Limbo (or the little I played of it).

edit: If you're not particularly interested in the game though I'd wait for $15. I'm not sure why they charge $20+ for it. It's not a Journey level game. What is though?

A perfect example of how measuring judging a games price to length ratio is absolutely stupid. Well worth the price of admission.

If you're worried about common Unity engine issues, I've played over 2/3 through and INSIDE's extremely polished.

If someone does the measuring he can easily say "new bluray movie for 15€, playtime 90-120 minutes" and for INSIDE "20€, playtime ~3-4 hours". It would still be worth the price compared to other entertainment stuff.

Damn, $20 bucks is too steep for me right now. Will wait.

'Tis a bit pricey. For £16 I won't bite, but I'll definitely get it at some point this year. I might have been more willing if I thought that Limbo was as good as the critics said, but I have to err on the side of caution with this one.

Yep, always surprised this continues to pop up so often. I've never understood the price to length issue, and I never will. You can drop down €10+ on a summer blockbuster in theatres and be easily disappointed, no issues there. But €20 for a praised 5 hour game? Nope
