If leaks are correct (and they seem 100% correct), anything released after September is going to require Pro support.

Because using their new software and rendering tech there's next to no difference compared to native 4K. There's no artifacts etc. It looks like native 4K. Something I didn't think was possible I have to admit.

8GB RX 470 draws 133 Watts at 1254 Mhz. There is no way the GPU + ram in PS4 pro draws more than 110 Watts and the rest of the components will be less than 50.
Actually there is 1 way the PS4 pro GPU can draw more than expected wattage, it's running at max volts to maximise the yield, seems overkill though.
Which is more than a year away from now and about 4 years into current gen. At this pricepoint, Sony is clearly selling this as an enhanced PS4 that is appealing to the mass market. Furthermore, the plans regarding Scorpio aren't clear at this point in time, in spite of MS announcing it.
I was sure because Osiris said it was a possibility.

I honestly don't see how Microsoft releases Scorpio next year. What is the point of something that much more powerful then the console its chained to? Sony can ride this for a year or two and then talk about PS5 meanwhile people are invested in a 6tf xbox one?

Well it was possible depending on certain parameters. It just never happened,, shame but oh well, the price point is fine for the provided power so it's still good.
What exactly is the point of Pro if the games dont receive any short of graphical upgrades over PS4, apart from 4k resolution? I mean some ps4 games have shit shadows, you mean to tell me that all those 4.2 teraflops are going to be wasted for 4k resolution, instead of better graphics at 1080p??

In all honesty I'd love to see Scorpio be over 6tf. I just don't see that as a possible outcome. 6tf GPU is awesome enough and beats the Pro

Untested waters for consoles but it unlikely people will be happy to buy a PS4.....then a PS4 pro.....then a PS5 just 1-2 years after pro.

I don't know its $399 that makes it easier to swallow. People had no problem upgrading for slim consoles in the past.

How games use PS4 pro power is up to dev. Most will have 4Kish resolution, some have 60fpsih frame rate or better AA, check Tomb Raider on PS4 Pro, 3 different mode.

I can't see a PS5 coming till at least 2019, maybe even later if the rumours that TSMC, GF and Samsung are all skipping 10nm and going straight for 7nm are true.
A Zen based APU with big Vega will be too expensive, even in 2019, if we are still at 14/16nm.

How much better also depends a lot on your set. Some TVs like Sony, LG, and Samsung upscale extremely well. So if you let your TV upscale 1080p content on the PS4 can look great already.
No UHD player for those that want it.
Ultimately it IS better than the regular PS4, and maybe some indies can do native. Obviously retail releases won't. $399 for a small bump is probably a lot to ask for many, and I'd argue even for 4K owners it's a pass.
The key thing to remember here is the PS Slim will get cheaper over time, but so will the Neo. So while its probably a pass now, if you could get one more for like $350 with a game or even $299 in a year during holiday sales it's probably more worthwhile.

Its up to devs to provide graphical bumps, and 1080p graphics are still on the table, if you had watched the conference. Tomb Raider actually does that, so will FF15 most likely.

Yep. The leaked Document even speaks of Neo mode having separate modes for 4K users and 1080p users.
FFXV was shown so that's as good as a lock.
