I disagree. The color yellow has great significance to the character of Luke Cage. It shows the deep authorial implication that he is a coward and wears that on his sleeve. His heroism, much like his superpower, is only skin deep. By shying away from the true origins of his character and using the yellow shirt, they are trying to portray him as a brave man and a hero, it is an insult to the legacy of the character and the decades of lore Marvel has built up around this beloved character.

Yeah I don't see him wearing the suit in Season One.

Defenders is probably when we'll get to see the whole team "suited up."

Daredevil seasons 1 and 2. Daredevil and Punisher get their costumes right at the end of those seasons.

And
..............Misty Knight!...............
(Luke Cage spoiler)

I was sad that they teased the robot arm and didn't end the season with at least an amputation.

Will Jessica Jones really wear a suit that she admitted she didn't like wearing?

We got energy hands and chest tattoos motherfuckers woooo!

Shocking news, I know.

- Deadline: ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist’ Adds Rosario Dawson.
Rosario Dawson was also on-stage on Saturday in NYC. A veteran of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cake as Claire Temple, the actress was a surprise guest and new addition to the Iron First cast – to the delight of the crowd. It looks like the Temple character will be getting involved in some fisticuffs herself as Loeb and Dawson teased on stage.
While no premiere date has been set for The Defenders, the Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist team-up series starts filming in November – also in the Big Apple.

Really hope he gets his costume this season. Would prefer the white and yellow but will take the green. The tattoo looks great too.

The Luke Cage show pretty much solidified Rosario's position as the night nurse, even going as far as using the title.

And spoilers for her role after Cage:
at the end of the last episode she grabs a number for martial arts lessons lol

He might just be referring to how the magic works within his body, as it seems they're going the route of showing muscle and bone in his hands.
