I understand your point, but I disagree with it and I get the feeling you missed my point.

Except he really is pretty accurate in his analysis barring the so-called "uprendering" patent while isn't upscaling, but it's not checkerboard rendering, either, and has no bearing on the PS4 Pro except when running emulated PS2 titles. If you squint they look similar but that's true of a ton of other unrelated technologies, too.
The constant "I was right and they were wrong" / "I'm such a genius" nonsense is every bit as toxic. Yes, people started piling on unnecessarily when it became obvious he was out of his depth. This shouldn't be a blood sport but it would help if onQ would give up the act and accept that he's an avid hobbyist with a keen interest, and not someone who actually works in the field and has a background in the subject matter. There are plenty here who can recognize when he's just flinging terminology around that he doesn't really understand.

So what if he's happy that a leftfield prediction turned out to be right? I'd be happy, too.

Guys, the logo doesn't light up, we've seen shots of the thing. Here you can clearly see the logo is glossy, compared to the matte finish of the rest of the console:

damn, i'm excited for this thing even though i don't game as much as i used to. have a release day pre-order from amazon ready to go. also have copies of battlefield 1, tomb raider, and doom on their way from the target deal. will be gaming in 1080p. really hoping doom sees a pro patch!

Here is what I did last week before selling mine on Craigslist:
1) Made sure my saves were backed up
2) Deactivated my PS4
3) Went into the settings and "initialized" it. Chose the Full, not Quick option. That process took about an hour and a half to finish, and once completed, it has the PS4 so that when you power it on you're at the screen where it asks you to hook the controller to the system with the USB cable.....in other words, like you just bought it.

In the past, they've always done it when they start the shipping process, which is a day or two before the release date. My Amazon order says that it's shipping on November 8th, so I would expect them to charge me around that time.

In the UK, Game are doing the Pro for half price (£175) if you trade in an original PS4 and any 5 games besides old FIFA games (with plenty of games available for £4-5 you're looking at ~£150 for the PS4).
It's not an amazing deal but looking at trade in prices elsewhere it's competitive unless you're happy to risk selling on eBay. I decided to go for the deal just to save the hassle of dealing with shipping the console etc.

I have 3 HDMI ports in the back of my TV. ARC, MHL and STB. The STB port is yellow and the other 2 are white. What do these 3 ports mean and which one would be the best to use for a Pro ?
This is my first PS4, so I've never had any experience with port juggling like this, my PS3 is currently attached to the MHL port and it seems everything is running OK there.
