Kinect Preorder ~$89 shipped at TRU with sale code right now

First tragedy, then farce.
Well I got a 2nd email saying my order will be processed once it releases.

We'll see if that holds up or not. My guess is this will still be cancelled as they seem to have fixed the issue first thing this AM so it was clearly an error and not an intended promo (if it were an intended promo, they would have promoted it).

I guess we'll know in the next week or not if they are going to honor those of us who got in. Given that it was only working from like 2 AM to 9 AM EST not that many people may have jumped on it.

Bummer, I missed it. ~$90-$100 is what I'd actually pay for Kinect, too. Guess I wait for the post-holiday fire sales or something.

Store will not take of 40% of point cards, system will not accept it, just picked up a classic pro for 12 bucks not a total loss.

First hand knowledge here, guy even showed me the computer saying it wouldn't go through tried 360 points and wii points.

I think they learned their lesson from the few times they've done B2G1 and B1G1 half off with all accessories and it accepted the cards. Which is unfortunate.

Damn, got busy at work and didnt get an opportunity to try it earlier.. oh well. I would have bought it at this price but will pass until it is sub 100.

No interest in Kinect, but did manage to get a Classic Controller Pro for ~$3 (had a gift card from a previous game purchase). Thanks, Vic!

No problem. Just break that bad boy in on the Virtual Console Aero and Ufouria in the next few weeks. :)

I went over to TRU at lunch. Coupon doesn't work on points but I got a $70 Live kit that has the chat pad, headset, 12 month card and PGR4 for $44.

Not bad.

Thanks for posting that.

Saw this last night. I was REALLY tempted to get a Kinect, but decided I didn't really want any of the announced games. So I didn't get it. I was going to get some 360 accessories, but didn't see anything I wanted at ToysRus online.

This post post just reminded to check the Wii accessories. So I bought a few that I've been putting off.

So far so good. Fingers still crossed.

Considering this is one of the games I had an interest in, this is like getting the hardware for 40 bucks. Not a bad deal at all. I'll pick up Dance Central day 1 as well.

Hopefully the sports game or Sonic Riders gets good reviews because they look like they could be a fair bit of fun.

They wouldn't have removed the ability to do it if it was intentional, considering that the deal only lasted a day for all things.

Sony Move and a bunch of other things didn't count towards the sale. And this only counted from 2AM EST until someone got to work the next day. It was certainly an error. If they wanted to sell Kinect at 60 bucks under retail they would have advertised it.

My guess is if they don't cancel it in the next week we are about 90% safe.

TRU is the store that basically allows people to constantly Constanza their sales and does nothing about it.

Assuming you have any interest in Kinect Adventures (which is supposed to be one of the better games for the system per E3 reports) you are basically getting the camera for 40 bucks which is extremely reasonable for any controller.

I figure I can get a good 90 dollars of drunken fun out of the thing.

Mr. Ireland, thank you. I'm finally going to get a 360 this fall for Rock Band 3, so I was able to pick up all the essentials (Live Messenger Gold Pack, Wireless Controller Game Pack, Play & Charge, and Wireless Microphone) for under $100. Awesome is what that is.

Picked up a black Wiimote too (the stupid nunchuck was sold out online) and NPC Donkey Kong Jungle Beat for effectively $10.

Good sign that none of our orders have been cancelled yet, but it's still early. Give it 3 or 4 days at least.

I suspect they'll cancel em all and give us like a $10 gift card instead or something.

Aw, I was going to maybe grab some accessories at the 11th hour, but it looks like the 939418 code no longer works. The second one still works, though.

Edit: Whoops, one-time code I'm guessing. All well.

Edit of Edit: I had it going through while logged out, but 2/3rds through checkout it choked, and now the code's expired. Serves me right for hesitating. :D

While I'm helping you spend money at an alarming rate, why not just call me Vic? :)

It wasn't my deal, but when I found out about it I thought this was the place to share in case it was honored for the Kinect. The other stuff that worked too was just a bonus!

In my experience the TRU.com outcomes are:

1. Get nothing but a cancellation email.
2. Get cancellation email and a $10 apology gift code/coupon.
3. Get product as ordered.

I mean, they're not as liberal as Zapphos, but there's a pretty good chance of #2 or #3 since the outcome after the coupon wasn't ridiculously low or free. #1 happens to me pretty infrequently in cases like this, but my policy is buy first and decide later. You snooze, you lose, and this was a great price.

that is just a hold/authorization charge. It will fall off in a day or two.

It would be an automated process. I think if these are canceled by next weekend we are in the clear.
