It seems quite farfetched Capcom would start development on MAHVEL since they want SF5 to be their lone fighting game project of this generation. I think the only way this would realistically happen is if Marvel paid THEM to develop the game, since there's no way Capcom has got the cash to pay for the license, and hang on to it for more than a year.

I didn't play many fighting games at the time but I still thought that was the HYPEST SHIT. Still think about how different things would've been if I'd bought a 360 instead of upgrading my PC at the time.

I remember that guy with a helmet meant to be Frank West before they decided to cut him out of the game. I was disappointed that he didn't made in but glad that he made in UMVC3 tho. :x The trailer itself was pretty hype tho

If they learned anything from SFV. I would hope it's knowing that they need SP content at launch. If they plan on doing this as a $60 dollar launch again. These days, if you want the casual dollar in. Seems you gotta have more on offer than a bare bones SP.
Still say SFV would have done so much better had the story mode been there day 1. That's neither here nor there now though. Just hope like you said there is story content. Would be really cool to get lot more interactions between characters in the game.

Marvel isn't in a position where they can make their own fighting games though.
And the list of people capable of putting something together on the level of MvC besides Capcom is pretty much zero. Remember "Rise of the Imperfects?"
I'm sure Marvel does. And hopes everyone else forgets it ever happened.
IF it happens, there's likely some give and take on both sides.
Bandai Namco & Arc System Works could come close. I know many people mention NRS, but it may be a conflict of interest for WB when NRS already does DC fighting games.
