Watch_Dogs 2 |OT| .HTML

Yeah I don't even have the drone yet, only the jumper.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll continue playing, it's not bad, I just can't really get into it.

You should focus on getting the drone as soon as possible, it'll greatly help with scouting out areas, figuring out where to go.

You need to buy it yourself at the 3D printer, the game won't just randomly give you one in a story mission or something.

Ah right... Good to know, thanks

Can't connect to Uplay service. Trying to launch Uplay on PC and basically can't get online. Anyone else having this issue? My internet connection seems fine. Was preloading the game and noticed it stopped about mid way through due to this.

Does anyone know if there a specific time that the PC game unlocks on Steam, or is it just whenever it gets to the 29th in your local timezone?

Actually I'm pre-loading it as well, just a few more gb. Hopefully it's up soon.

Drone honestly changes everything. One thing I disliked in W1 and didn't like at the start here too much was having to rely on cameras to go through an area and tag enemies. With the drone, you just fly around and in 10 seconds have every enemy and key item marked out. You can see all the paths, the jumper gates, the objects you can use to explode or ride, etc... so you can plan your attack out really quick and then execute it. One of the first upgrades you should get for the drone is the ability to see through walls. Super useful.

It's too bad some of you let the story get in the way of how you play the game. I'm having a blast going on killing sprees and fighting/running from cops. It's a blast with all the tools you have at your disposal. Still doing the story missions with all stealth though.

Yeah, when I'm just messing around free roaming, I love taking out compounds with a sniper rifle from a distance. Or making everything explode in total chaos with cops & gangs fighting it out only to ride off in the flames in a motorcycle.

I just got the upgrade to let the drone drop bombs...going to have sooooo much fun with this.

So they have twitchy handling? Guess I'll find out soon..

I think the cars feel fine, but I like arcade racers. Each car has different weight handling, motorcycles are twitchy as hell, big cars are slower to turn. I like the feel of zooming around in the sports cars turning on a dime. It's not amazing driving, but I don't think it's that much worse than GTAV.

I also want to give the game credit for the sailboats which actually take wind into account and play like a mini-arcade version of AC4/Rogue, which is cool. Haven't done the sailboat races yet but looking forward to them.

Is anyone having trouble with the online trophies? So far the Please Marcus Don't Hurt Them trophy (neutralize five hunters in bounty hunt) and the trophy for a successful hack won't pop for me.

I haven't gotten an answer yet, but has anyone come across any direct references to Assassin's Creed in this game?

Whether it's the Assassins themselves, Abstergo, someone playing an AC game, anything?

Watch Dogs 1 had a side mission where you had to kill the CEO of Abstergo Entertainment for "the Brotherhood". Assassin's Creed 4 had a thing where it was mentioned that the CEO went to Chicago for a shareholder meeting and went missing.

Something like that.

It took a couple more than necessary to get the five bounties trophy for whatever reason. I spent a couple hours the other night getting all the online trophies and then I turned online off. While interesting, I don't need the game randomly bugging me about online missions every 10 minutes.

I'm on the last mission and have done all the side stuff, and haven't seen anything.

Well the UbiSoft office is in the game, I believe I saw some Assassin Creed posters on the side of the building.

I guess they are dropping the Abstergo and other modern day stuff then. In WD1 and the recent AC games, the actual Assassin's Creed games were created by Abstergo Entertainment from the memories recovered in the AC games. Unless they are having Abstergo Entertainment being rebranded as Ubisoft it looks like the connected universe of Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, and Far Cry is over. Shame.

Got such a backlog, but am really tempted by this. Will hold off until I hear PC impressions first.

They're really lightweight and twitchy.....but aside from that I don't mind the handling, you can still handbrake nicely around corners and the damage modelling is quite cool. If it had a little bit more heft then it would be great.

Whoever decided this
timed bomb mini game in lenny's bunker
was "fun" can seriously go ahead and leave games development.

Bought this on Black Friday and it arrived today. I haven't had much time to mess about with it tonight, but it's looking fun enough for now. The soundtrack already sounds stellar.

It's shame online tailing appears to be absent, but at least the online stuff that is present appears to be pretty seamless.

Completed it early today. The first game did a few things better, but 2 is a better game all in all.

Will jump into some online action after a bit of a break.

I really hated those hacking puzzles. But get used to them because they don't go away. I didn't fully understand them until maybe the 4th or 5th one I came across. The worst one for me was the New Dawn facility because I had no idea what I was doing at that point. I did eventually figure it out though (I didn't notice the locked "nodes" had direction arrows the first few times I did these puzzles.

Ok my Origin says ''Pre-order failed'', anyone else? Bought it when it was 50% off when the code wasn't supposed to work on pre orders.

My order history also says ''processing'' on the order.

EDIT: Ok, order is now completed. First time pre ordering on Origin, so i panicked a little for no reason. Strange that they start processing orders after the game goes live.

I can't remember the last time an event popped up. I've got a funny feeling this will be the last trophy I manage to get just for the rarity of events.

Regarding the 5 bounty hunt mercenary kills - do they have to be in the same round? Or do they stack?

They stack. Once you killed your 5th overall target, you'll get the trophy.

Haha wow. Seems like I have missed the discount on the Deluxe edition for PC by a few minutes, great. Now I have to pay 10€ more, and not even sure if this would get me the Zodiac mission. Good job Ubisoft, I guess I'll wait for a cheap grey market CD key instead of spending 60€ on your shitty store. How is that preorder DLC crap working out for you now.

I'm not ashamed to say that i had fun with it.
Lenny only mess with a line once ( so only 4 times at all ) and you don't need to unlock again nodes already unlocked , so getting things back on track is piss-easy.
There are no nodes with timers either. it's actually very forgiving

One of the worst police ai on this generation. I hate fucking omnipresent ai.

Hack your way out. during a car chase , look behind , and car the car themselves and make some room. The only problem is the helicopter and there is even an upgrade for that.
The ai is actually Quite forgiving when you use your tools

Knew it couldn't last. Story was doing pretty good, until a dumb swerve. Had to hold back a groan.

That's not tge issue. It's after the chase when the ai who haven't seen me decide to drive down the alley that they couldn't know I'm down, or if tgey can't drive it get out on foot, or when they dump a car right ahead of you with no time to move.

Amen to that! I hate when cops spawn in front of you when you have 5 stars and trying to make your escape after killing your bounty hunters. It turns into a car chase that last 5-10 min because cop cars literally appear in front of you SMH. And if that Bitch in helicopter doesn't STFU I'm going to lose my mind

I've killed more than that... does it matter if I get killed by the police instead of escaping?

Ubi and their trophy glitches, man.

It does matter. Getting killed by your bounty or any other way will make the bounty kill not count. I think Ubisoft club might also keep track of the state so you should double check that. Its supposed to be your 5th registered solo kill on the bounty but it might have some issues like you said

If you've escaped you're in the clear already . I don't understand your issue.
If the police give you problems then you haven't escaped.

Cross post. Just had an incredible session and I'm in love:

Holy fuck. This game is incredible. Like truly special. Just shot to near top of my goty list.

Just infiltrated a large base with MGS3/V-tier level design, had like four clutch near-alerts before CQCing guards, used multiple distractions, used free running to get up on top of a building to hack stuff, was dropping my RC car into vents to hack terminals then Splinter Cell style sneaking into server rooms - did the whole thing without being spotted. It was like Metal Gear Splinter Uplink.

What the fuck.

Then after that i got ambiently loaded into another players instance, where they were in a police chase and i could get the bounty. Chased them all over a mountain, we lost the police in the process, then i used Remote Car Hack to slam HIS car's brakes against his will, hopped off my bike and shot him straight through the windshield into his confused face.

What a game.

This game really opens up the more gadgets and skills you unlock. Makes the infiltration stuff a whole lot more interesting that's for sure.

Really, really enjoying it.

It's pretty obvious the person is talking about when you've broken line of sight and the cops magically know where you are.

Use your tools more. Unlock more gadgets.

If on foot ALWAYS use Distraction (triangle/y) on enemies who might see you soon. Spamming Distraction, even on multiple enemies, makes stealth much easier.

A point comes where you're laying traps for cops, forcing their own cars to spin off road, making traffic lights slam traffic into them and calling high-level gang hits on them when they're about to catch you hiding.

Two things I'd love for them to add in the sequel/story DLC
(spoilers for late/end missions)
The ability to play as Sitara or Wrench or even Josh in free roam. This should be no problem really since you can already do this in a mission!
:

Spider Drone for Watch Dogs 3? I say get rid of the flying drone as it scouts too fast(I know it's great)It would be so much fun crawling this thing around bases to scout. Or maybe just add another level of physical hacks that the RC can't reach.

This gaaaaame

--> Buying some fancy new suits
--> Get Bounty Hunt Alert
--> Step outside into oncoming hell
--> 0 to 100 real quick
--> Kill bounty, die in the process

This game isn't without flaws (the lack of checkpoints in big missions, holy hell), but this is honestly the most fun I've had with an open world game since Sleeping Dogs.
