Delayed onset PTSD is definitely a thing and hand tremors are a common symptom of it

They aren't deleting the first game from existence. It still had an ending.

The fact that they're being so fucking bold with "Part II" and everything makes me more confident than I thought I'd be. I imagine they truly know what it means to follow up an ending like that one, and I'm excited to see what they've thought up.

Regardless of whether or not they're able to earn/justify doing a direct sequel, the amazing first game will always be there, and I'm sure at the very least they'll be able to tell another compelling story.

You could always choose to not play the game, and have the story end there for you. No one will be upset with you. Let others enjoy the new experience with the characters, and you can have your own sort of canon where their story ends/is unknown after the first game. Everyone can be happy!

Maybe it would be a cool idea if Ellie and Joel now became Hunters, out of necessity. Survival does harrowing things to people.

I mean it would certainly be progressive and interesting, but you can't just choose to be truly transgender in a sense where you just will it to happen. She would need large amounts of hormonal therapy to make those sorts of changes. I feel like that sort of hormonal therapy is not something that will likely be readily available in the game's world.

You can be trans without doing anything to your body. Many trans people can't afford/access hormones or surgery, and some don't want hormones or surgery.

But really, I don't think we have any reasons to think Ellie is trans. There's nothing about her body or representation that gives anything away.

That was my interpretation. She either helped or entirely killed those people, and is sort of freaking out. She takes a deep breath, clenches her fist, and tried to Zen out while playing the guitar.

The mental image I have is the part of MJ's Thriller where he starts turning into a werewolf, except it's Ellie and she grows a beard, chest hair and huge Arnold-like biceps. It's making me laugh pretty well.
