Who is this for ? Me an millions of ppl ages 27-22. Also kids. Remember power rangers has never stopped coming on guys. It's still new seasons coming out now. The only audience it won't reach is edgy teens who think they are too cool for it.

If this makes you cringe go actually watch the first movie and then watch 2 random episodes. If you say they aren't just as "cringy" your lying to yourself lol.

Not bad. The Zordon head effect is what I expected. Still don't like Goldar even seeing him in the movie now lol.

It's a decent trailer. Upgraded the movie from "hell no" to "maybe when it's on HBO."

Do they have to pull that hollywood super hero crap and remove their helmets when they're in their zords though?

Not my Goldar

Looks ten times better

That actually looked pretty cool. I'm still not sold on the designs for the zords and Goldar, but they do look better in motion I'll say. I like how Zordon turned out, though.

It looks fun, I'll be there to see it.

Nahh, Im 24 and I remember MMPR being my first power ranger show I watched then all the other variants starting coming out.

Yep, I'm 24 & remember watching MMPR weekdays & weekends on Fox Kids programming block alongside VR Troopers, The Masked Rider (Kamen Rider), Beetleborgs (Mettalix!) & the Mystic Knights.

I stopped watching Power Rabgers when they got to SPD & briefly came back for Mystic Force. Now I've discovered Garo & need nothing else really.

Goldar just looks terrible. I guess a giant lion creature in gold armor doesn't fit their aesthetic, but he would look a hell a lot better than incredible melting man.

I think that's the overriding problem with the art direction. The group of people who conceived it were too scared to go for hammy/silly like the original series its based off. They tried too hard to be cool and in turn, they've created something by committee, that's boring, over-designed and less cool than the 90s.

Yep, I'm 24 & remember watching MMPR weekdays & weekends on Fox Kids programming block alongside VR Troopers, The Masked Rider (Kamen Rider), Beetleborgs (Mettalix!) & the Mystic Knights.

MM, Beetleborgs and Masked Rider were definitely my favourites. I love that BB and MM are on Netflix in full.

Eh..

Will probably watch it by the end of the year or next. It does nothing for me, my few issues with it are.

They over designed the outfits which makes it unappealing on the eyes.

None of the cast are remotely interesting from their moments seen within the trailer, I'd rather actors from the 100. This cast looks like rejects from a Teen Nick pilot that didn't get greenlight.

The movie colors are dull, they really fucked up here. Angel Grove would have looked better as a grounded future city. In this movie you just get some ghetto looking town as if I was looking outside lol

I like the power song, but give it a rest. It's just lazy how you couldn't invest some money towards a hot rapper out right now to put together a song about power. Nobody wants to hear Kanye West on a soundtrack in 2017. Get some Logic.

This trailer did not say "kids who watch power rangers" is the audience.

It said "This is yet another YA superpower movie".

YA movies ain't for kids.

I know they made all those changes because they probably saw them as too goofy but I wish they'd embrace them. My biggest disappointment is how they aren't recruited teens with attitude beamed out of nowhere, they all stumbled across the rocks at the same time together.

Also I still don't really buy that red ranger guy in the role. The guy playing the black ranger looks better suited for the leader type.

I've been attacking this movie for its many many questionable design decisions for many many months, but damn if that trailer doesn't make me a little optimistic; This looks genuinely fun, I think I'm on board.

At least the few glimpses of the Rangers fighting seemed to have some punch.

Rita looks hammy as fuck. I'm okay with this.

Cg looks awful on the whole. Not buying the Zords at all.

And man I can tell I'm gonna hate alpha.

Because these aren't practical designs, I highly doubt an advanced alien race use spandex as their uniforms to fight an intergalactic threat.

There's nothing practical about Power Rangers though. Also, advanced aliens would probably use a material thats more form fitting instead of a very rigid humanoid armor.

I really liked the Chronicle 2.0 vibe from the first trailer. This seems like Power Rangers, which isn't necessarily bad. Nevertheless, I'm there day one.

I want to see these guys actually superheroing instead of just punching dudes. I feel like that's what's really missing from superhero films these days.

Nice. Is this paperback most of what's out there now?

There have been a bunch of floppies since then but that is the only collected volume so far, yes. They're a bit slow getting those out.
Vol2 comes out in March and Vol3 comes out in June. Also coming in June is the collected Justice League/Power Rangers.

I've found it hard to wait since I don't want to buy the individual floppies. Extra hard to wait because the first volume just sort of stops right when you're excited to see what's next.

That edit where someone says something and it cuts to a completely different scene with a character laughing is so fucking annoying and in so many trailers these days.

But the suits look much better here, and as cheesy and clichéd as the trailer was, I think a good script can tie everything together nicely. Hope the CGI looks more effective on the big screen though.

Looks more Power Rangers-y than the first trailer. That said I don't think a Chronicle-esque approach to the characters is a bad starting-off point as long as it leans into the cheesier elements too.

I dunno... doesn't look good? But I also don't hate it. Something I'd watch on a cheap Tuesday or something.

But for real, fuck that Kanye song.... most over-played song of 2011?

Still want one of these trailers to use the original theme song (or a modern rendition of it). They don't even have to sing go go power rangers, just make them walk towards the camera in costume and put the guitar intro in there.

Anyway looks like every modern remake ever. Taking itself too seriously instead of embracing the cheese.
But it Should still be fun. I just hope it doesn't take 90 minutes for them to get into costume (it totally is)
