jesus,
lynel
was ridiculous. thankfully i had a 50 strength claymore and some food items that boosted max hearts. i don't think i would've beaten it otherwise
In the coliseum? Is there even a point to it? I beat it and reloaded cause I found nothing of interest and didn't want to waste my resources.

Just linked to my twitter account.

And now I'm out of the great plateau!.

Is it still cool to color correct people's screenshots?

Dammit Nintendo ship more Switches already

I was so happy when I killed the
Purification Lake
miniboss (my first one, yay!) only to be completely annihilated by a badass
Centaur
3 seconds later.

This game.

Simple question :
On your way to meet the
birdman at the shooting center
, there is a shrine called something like "secret air path" where you need to got up by jumping with paraglide on different upwards aistreams, but the last one does t get me high enough ? I see the end in font of my but am too low ?

Fly around the the back side of that last platform

Has anyone managed to complete the second blue flame quest?

How did you deal with the guardian?

An ancient arrow and lots of other arrows in the eye. You can stand behind it and pop in and out of cover.

btw there are lots of unlit lanterns along the way that sort of work as checkpoints.

So just had my first encounter with the Blood Moon... that was a real fucking trippy thing.

Also I've been running around Kakariko for like an hour but can't find the last cuccoo. This is the worst! Lol

I'm hopeful that in a week or so someone with an extensive history with the LoZ franchise makes a thread envisioning a hypothetical BotW sequel in the same vein as Ocarina -> Majora's Mask. Have never played either, so correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding was that Majora's Mask reused the engine, many of the assets, and appended new features, which dramatically sped up dev time.

Am just having such a ball with this game, that it would be a damn shame to have to wait 5-6 more years for something totally new. I adore the mechanics so much, I'd happily play a new game using the exact same.

There's one
on the roof of a house
. That's probably the one you are missing.

Re durability

Not to mention that it does serve a purpose. I find that it keeps me in the game more. I am not just some self-styled entity divorced from the game world. I am part of it and subject to its rules. I have to constantly change up my approach based on what the game world presents me.

That said, it was my first upgrade ;)

110%

It also means that getting tougher weapons feels really important and earned

no, the one i'm talking about is part of a main quest, but apparently i didn't have to fight that one either. :P ah well, it was still pretty satisfying to beat him anyway

Can you actually climb Central Tower without being able to kill the guardians?
I did it with three hearts and right after I left the plateau in one try.

Just time your jumps to avoid the lasers and break line of sight and break for stamina at every chance.

Absolutely amazing game. I put another six hours into it today. It has taken me a long time to get use to the controls, but I feel fairly comfortable with them now. The game surprises me often with the interesting strategies you can try if you look at your surroundings.

The voice acting (Zelda in particular) has been pretty bad though. It is a shame because plenty of the memory scenes could be even more impactful if the Zelda voice actor was better.

The one with the
Shock arrows? Because the game doesn't expect you to kill it. It's a sneak mission to collect the arrows around his patrol area.

You've got to get really good jumping backwards at the right time. It's the only way. :P

And then use a shit ton of food.

Use bows and arrows then. Every resource counts.

Time to find a stick and start over :)

I keep messing up the timing but I've gotten better at the flurries. I get him down to 50% health before he just slaughters me.

So far bow and arrow hasnt done much. I used up all my bomb arrows and I think that took up maybe 5% overall? I definitely need to get more swords. I have too many two handed slow wind up weapons that I need to discard for this fight.

I cant believe a Zelda boss fight can be this difficult. Im frustrated but excited.

Lmao I
tried to take a picture of him for a quest and he saw me and started to charge. I keep forgetting that "B" button is not exit but to change to selfie mode. So you have this angry ass Lynel charging right behind me and Link puts on the dumbest facial expression ever. I wish I got to take the picture before he killed me.
Couldnt stop laughing for a while.

I have a feeling this will be more in the form of a series of DLC rather than a brand new game (which I'm ok with)

I walked past it lol.

Just hugged the woods on its opposing and used tree trucks for cover, I dropped down into a small ravine just before I made it and that gave me enough cover to light the flame.

Does lighting all the lamps in
Hateno Village
with the blue flame do anytrhing?

I lit them all and it didn't do anything, I think it's just a crutch in case your flame gets put out you don't have to start from square one.

It's a main quest. You'll get to it.

Are you talking about lighting the furnace or is there something else? Lighting the furnace does not require all the lamps to be lit, there are several lamps not in the path from the fire to the furnace.

This game is pure magic. I hate open world games but I love every minute of this. The interactivity, the gameplay and the sense of adventure are fantastic. It sure is a departure for the series though. A 3D Zelda with such a light story and no full scale dungeons takes some getting used to. A truly fantastic game, just very different from what you'd come to expect from Zelda. It was a needed change, though, this game feels like a complete fresh Zelda experience after many similar titles (which were all great games still). Too bad it's so time consuming, it will take me months to finish this...

if you can get him right in the head with a couple arrows it stuns him long enough for you to get off a combo or....Mount him

Keep trying! I thought about giving up but just kept brute forcing it with food. I would make sure you have Attack up and defense up foods. I think those really helped me. Yeah I was very excited to be dying so much on a boss fight. Once I beat him it was SO satisfying.

I'm tempted to leave what I'm doing in the main quest and go in straight to the forest to get those sweet item slots.. too much stuff I'm leaving on the ground

Is the rumble on this game supposed to be so weak? Using the pro controller.

Seems much stronger if I do a vibration test in the Switch system settings.

Fun fact:
you don't get a quest to kill that Lynel because you aren't supposed to kill it. It's a sneak mission to pick up the shock arrows.
