So what's the consensus? Everyone loving it? Exploration rewarding in this game?

Yah

I mean the game is time travel. I don't know how I've spent this many hours playing. Resident Evil 7 took me over a week to get through and it felt like it dragged on -- And that was like a 12 hour game...

All this open worlding has made me soft, stuck on the first "dungeon".

Divine best Vah Ruta. I've done the first terminal by using the magnet on the gears, but don't know where to go from here. In the big wheel cog I can use stasis on the ball but it just falls back down.
You need to "use" your map.

i beat the shit out of the centaur guy, but to be fair, i had been wandering the map for like 15 hours and had a giant sword made of ice that i stabbed him with a lot
I've ran into 3 different center guys, the 3rd one looked smaller so I thought i could take him on and pick him off from my horse, then I put on
my champion tunic
and saw that he had 4000p hp, and before I could nope outta there he did some kind if fire force field that oneshotted me, thankfully not my horse

Okay what was the real solution to "speed of light" trial for the second chest?

I cryo'd over to place a bomb by the water crystal
cryod to the laser platform
arrowed the water crystal
hang-glided and walked through door
denoted bomb

there's a second chest in that chamber?!?!?

I also died like 15 times because he'd nearly one-shot me and I forgot to change out my armour before the battle started.

weak to flurry tho

I honestly don't even know what I'm doing.

Am I meant to be running away from loads of enemies since they're too powerful and am I meant to be dying often?

I am currently trying to
set free the divine beasts
but feel like I'm doing something very wrong.

Saying that I'm still finding the game fun and time flies when on it.

Gerudo Desert and the mountains surrounding it, whew.
I like that there are Shrine quests, did one with some Gorons and the heat challenge. Had to waste all of my food lol.

whomever designed these motion control shrines needs to be fired immediately. The only blemish on this otherwise perfect game so far.

I love taking the weapons from the bokoblins and seeing how pissed they get. Funny to watch them grab whatever they can find in this case it was a small rock and throw it at me.

You can easily find yourself in situations where enemies are overall tougher then you are. You can either sneak by or try to get creative and find ways to beat them. The game is the hardest Zelda since the nes games so you will die. Just explore and have an adventure that's my play style, you never know where you'll go or what you'll find.

This game is amazing. I will say I came into this beforehand being sceptical. I didn't know if I would like the change from the previous games but it has proved me wrong. Truly is great.

But...One thing I will say is I'm definitely disappointed with the direction they've taken with the dungeons in this game. I haven't yet attempted any dungeons so far but from what I've heard and what we know already I don't like how there's only
4
of them and that they're not themed nor the labyrinth style that we've come to know over the years.

The shrines don't really scratch the same itch for me. They're so simplistic and I'm tired of the same overall designs of them.

I just wish this game had everything that it has now but with a good
8
labyrinth styled dungeons too. That's the only negative point I give this game. Otherwise this could have dethroned OOT for me as the best game of all time.

Maybe in another 5 years huh?

The location names in this are just porn for a Zelda nerd like me. I love how they are altered a little, like language alters over time. Even the Divine Beasts are extreme alterations of classic names.

I just use the stat app on the U. It's not perfect because it counts how long the game has been on rather than playtime, but I get a rough estimate.

I'm on Switch.

:/

What I want to know is why is there a
Romani
reference in Hyrule?

The Yiga Clan is hilarious. I love how they look so intimidating despite being a bunch of a goofballs, and how that even extends to
the boss fight, where the attacks all look tough but have super simple solutions.

Just did the Shrine in Hateno Village and
did anyone else turn the board upside down and totally bypass the maze? Accidentally flipped the board after failing about 10 times, and I love that they allow you to cheese the puzzle like! I guess it's a lot more intuitive to do this when holding the Joycons separately. Also, fuck ball-in-maze motion puzzles.

I absolutely fluked that one after trying about 20 times. So frustrating. I wanted to throw my controller.

Yeah, there was one that reminded me of the old NES Marble Madness game. It was infuriating until I figured out that I could turn the game pad upside down and the board flipped upside to the flat surface.

So if you leave a dungeon
divine beast
is the progress saved upon return? Getting my ass handed to me by
thunderblight Ganon
and need to cook some shit and get gud (ie more hearts, really took on this battle too early).

I'm helping out the dude with his Cuccoos in Kakariko (because of course), I'm down to the last one and I have no clue where it is. Can someone spoiler tag the hardest one to find?

Thanks, I'll try start exploring more and finding new ways to deal with enemies then. Hopefully this makes the game more fun for me.

I'm kind of disappointed that people react to you being naked, but no one outside of Gerudo town reacts to
you in drag.
That would have been a great fun to have.

What?!!! I thought it might take place in the downfall timeline, but what you said sounds interesting. I can't wait for my copy tomorrow.

No. You'll see.

I've played more than I cared to admit, I haven't even gotten to any dungeons yet, and I just learned based on spotting distant towers that I've filled in about a third of the map.

This. Fucking. Game.

I'm not normally one to get excited over the map size of a game, but I'm really enjoying exploring and seeing the variety in the areas.

This makes me excited. Out of the 3D Zelda games, Twilight Princess is my favorite. Happy to see any references to that game.

Just got to
zora domain
Such an amazing journey to it.

I have to say, the world building in this game may be the best we have seen in zelda so far.

Just encountered my first great fairy.

Huh.

Neat character design.
