I did the first shrine, it was fun. now I have 3 more to do before that old man gives me what I'm after. My God this game is wonderful. And I'm only playing it on Wii U right now, as my Switch is charging.

After messing around with the game all weekend and only managed to explore Kakariko and Hateno area, I finally decided it's time for me to tackle a dungeon after work today.

It's going to be the
Divine Beast Vah Ruta (not sure how I feel going for the "water" dungeon first lol)
, and damn the cut scene introducing it looks menacing!

Is it safe to say this is the hardest Zelda game by far? I haven't died so many times in a Zelda game before now. Zelda Souls. :P

AoL is harder. l wouldn't say this game is that hard, the checkpoint system is so generous plus you've got so many options to fight or get the hell out.

Woot second divine beast done (Rudania).
I really dig the controlling aspect of these dungeons, which for Rudania case, you switch between straight up or on its side. Fireblight Ganon was a good boss too. Also can hopefully be done dealing with Yunobo lol.

I havnt even been to a beast objective yet and because of that i feel like im wasting time.
Getting survival vibes off the game and i frankly dont like it.
Like do i really have to craft heat resistant shit to get to that area of the map or can I just buy armor that does it for me?

You never actually HAVE to do anything in this game. You can buy it (or earn it in a quest).

I would not put it in the Souls category difficulty-wise, but it's a very hard game for sure. Certainly the hardest Zelda game imo.

I have no idea, I die to the guardians immediately.

Also, anyone know how to find more memory clues like the
painter gave?

You'll find the painter hanging around in different places - I saw him at a stable somewhere and Lurenin Village. He'll give a different clue each time.

Carrying a lit torch and some fire imbued weapons also make you warm, like a fire rod for instance.

Make a campfire too at certain spots so you have points to return to. Or just brute force your way and carry tons of healing items like apples to replenish depleting health.

So what's weapons are actually unbreakable in this game, I heard you need to combine two of them so it never breaks/no need of repairing but the guy in
Zora's Domain
only mentions that he can repair the spear, nothing about combining two of them

Camp fires won't help in a very warm area ;)
Brute forcing is really not helpful if you already find potion making tiresome.

No i need anti heat.
Is there armor for this?

Just finished Zora's Domain. That entire adventure is one of the most brilliant and memorable I've had in 30 plus years of gaming. This fucking game guys...

It really doesn't make sense to "brute force" the environment with health replenishing items. If you're going to keep eating anyway, you might as well just create a few resistance granting meals and eat those instead?

Just reached (spoiler for an area involving a long standing race in the Zelda games)
Zora's Domain
. I am blown away by the art direction of this area and the atmosphere caused by the weather. As always in this game, NPCs feel so alive. Between this area and some equipment
the electric sword and shield you can get from one of the mechanical enemies
I have found, I am really interested in seeing a futuristic title

Aonuma and the others who worked on this made such an amazing game

Just got here. It's one of the prettiest locations I've seen in a game. Sounds like I'm in for a treat. I love the Zora area in MM and OOT. Happy to see such another well done Zora's Domian

how do i beat this apparently invulnerable Cyclops thing. mashing the attack button isn't working like it does on bokoblins.

The giant one? Hit it till it dies..
i targeted the left leg. He never got stuned by my hits but it was not that hard to avoid his attacks from there.

Thought it was for the cold. Sorry, misread :p

I just have a ton of fruits to replenish my health until I reach every critical location, like shrines and the tower.

There is heat resistant armor. Gerudo area I believe sells that.

Wow, I decided to finally travel up a mountain and found a scary ass monster. Lol. First great exploration moment for me.

Big ass dragon with malice covering it

I'm pretty sure I've died more times in this game than I have in every other Zelda game combined. I do still only have 4 hearts, but even if I didn't I'm sure I'd still be dying a ton.

Yup, movement speed, attack and defense are good meals to focus on. Stealth if you're just trying to climb towers in dangerous areas. Extra stamina wheel meals help for running away too

I'm actually using fairies for health and battles.

That was the early moment that made the game for me. The atmosphere of that freezing mountain with dark clouds above my head while l was making my way to that strange thing in the distance and the realization of what l was looking at... That was when l was convinced this was a special game.
