I got to that island last night and was like....time to go to bed. My body is not ready
It's a real treat. The could make an entire game like that and it would be fantastic.

Why is it so?
I think there is a quest in Zora's Domain in which you can trade in a certain material for a diamond if I'm remembering correctly. How do I collect?diamonds

Interesting. The weapon quick menu always makes me wish there was some similar way of quickly eating. Drilling through the menu each time I need hearts is tedious.
This game just vacuums up my time. Hours and hours just disappear and feel like mere minutes. I played for six hours last night without realizing it, and once I did, I was mad I didn't have more time.
Even when I was enthralled with other games - like Bloodborne - I never felt time slip away from me like this. I'll turn the game on and it feels like it is instantly two hours later. I'm going to work today for the first time since getting it and I'm having withdrawals.
Explanation for my previous statement:
Underwhelming stats. Breaks quickly. Takes 10 (real-time?) minutes to recharge. Took way too much effort/time for me to get.

When do you guys recommend starting to boost stamina over hearts? Currently on 5 hearts and ready for next upgrade
Where did you got that table and carpet from?![]()
Once you buy everything he throws in furniture for free.
Took me way too long! Reminded me of the Gerudo Hideout in Ocarina. Throwing Banana's is the easiest way to get through it though.
I loved that side quest, it took me about an hour to do and it felt really cool. The whole survival aspects of the game coming together for a challenge.
Yes, it's called. It appears after a certain point it seems, I'm not sure what triggers it though. It appears at midnight in one of two locations.Farosh
Honestly, I'd trade the dpad down command from horse call to a food quick menu. Not to mention a master recipe list that you could bulk cook from. How does this game not save recipes you learn to cook? That'd be nice but they're already using literally every button for something... I'm sure they considered it during the many many years of development for this game.
Does this view exist in the final version?

Very nice story. I created a thread just for those. Would you mind sharing it there too?

So I brought my Switch to bed last night. Big mistake on work nights lol.
Seriously there's just so much to this game. So many distractions and interesting things to keep you exploring. Time just disappears in the real world. I do appreciate how the design is a little more forgiving for short spurts of gameplay though. If I only have a half hour, that's usually enough time to find a shrine and finish it, for example. It's just wonderful.
It's the personThis person can be foundwho is a painter, you'll reconize him by his canvas.
andin a number of different locations, e.g. in Kakariko in front of the goddess statue,I also found him at a stable in the southern zone.
Kakariko village, the painter. Talk to him for tips. After you do (or perhaps after finding the first memory he hints at, you can find him near certain stables for more hints
Finally managed to mount one!
That's the painter, he's all over the place. Have to do his quest in Kakariko first.
He's the dude who paints. He also shows you where the firstis, he's in Kakariko to begin with but travels around to other places and stables and you can find him there and show him a different photo and he'll give you hints and such. I've found all them now and they're really fun to figure out by yourself too, some I figured out by geographical landmarks and wandering around a while, which felt amazing when I found one... I even randomly ran into one of them.Great Fairy
Is one cucco hidden? In the cucco quest, I have caught 9 cuccos but can't find the 10th and I've searched everywhere :/

80 shrines down and I still look forward to every one. It's amazing that quite a few have felt like they stumped me, only for me to figure it out after a minute or two. The game has a way of making you feel so clever like that. I haven't needed to resort to any help at all.
They're going to get seriously tough to find from here on out, I wager. 20 of the ones I have left are quests that I haven't yet found, according to the adventure log. Guess I need to do some more exploring. My single biggest fear going into the game is that the majority of the puzzles / gameplay would be placed into the shrines. The fact that 42 of the shrines are 'shrine quests' was something I never predicted, and answered all of my doubts in the most stunning fashion. There's gameplay everywhere here.
Tried to start Horizon last night but realised I'm just not done with this game mentally. Not after 60 hours, which is pretty incredible. BotW is making me reassess the quality of so many other games I've played in the past, it's that much better than most of them.
Oh... Thanks I'll do that right away!Check the rooftops?

No. But there are views like it.
The death mountain that made it into the game looks better than the one in this pic btw.

This is what I love about open world games with a populated and interesting world. You can pretty much make your own fun.So last night I was playing in bed and saw a shooting star crash land behind a ridge in front of me. I was on my way to a shrine, but thought fuck it I'm going after this thing, cos I have no idea how rare it is. I have to pass a river, which is really wide and flowing downstream, so I'm fighting to get across. I only had 2 stamina boosting items and just as the last inch of stamina I have runs out I make it to the other side....only to be greeted by THREE Moblin stalfos AND a, needless to say I run for my life, but get killed by a rogue arrow...thankfully however I had a fairy so I kept running until I'd left them behind. Then commence a series of rock climbing, gliding past encampments and running for my life from enemies before morning almost hits and the light from the shooting star fades. I finally reach the spot as the sun crests over the horizon and claim my prize. I have no idea how rare this thing is, or even what to do with it, but DAMN, this game makes you feel so damn accomplished when you achieve something you set out to do. What a thrill ride.Yiga swordsman
How much stamina food did you need?
My experience is that they can only be killed withGuardian/Ancienr weapons, any weapon that glows blue
Any tips on finding shrines? Or is the Sheikah Sensor the best way? I feel like I haven't found nearly enough as I should have with how much I've explored so far.
Thats odd, I managed to get on a few but burned through 5 full stamina bars, the the food ran outStamina wasn't a problem at all, it was the sneaking up on them.

I wish this game had achievements.
I really like achievements in open world games, somehow helps with the feeling of progression.
