Got to love fighting monsters during a lightning storm, near grass wth a weapon that freezes them. Actually had 0 FPS for almost 3 seconds.

Docked mode.

If you've registered a horse you can leave it (in a safe area) and it'll either be there for you when you get back, or you can go to a Stable and recall it from there.

So a registered horse can be picked up from a stable without dropping it off? That would be great.

Man it rains an awful lot and for a long time in this game, it's actually quite annoying. You can't climb, you can't cook, you can't camp, often you can't use a lot of weapons if there's lightning. All I can do is just leave the game running and wait it out. I'm doing this quest where I have to take fire to this other place and twice has it started to rain halfway through, I used the "checkpoints" to save the fire but even those are far and few.

Plus I don't understand why I can't run with the torch out. Infact the game has no animation for running with any equipped weapon as Link holsters anything you have equipped if you run ...which is just weird.

Does anybody know what it means when a weapon shimmers in the top right corner of its menu icon? I'm guessing it means it's more durable, but I'm not positive...
It means the weapon is brand spanking new because you haven't used it yet. It means %0 degradation so far for that weapon.

Yes, at least in my experience that's the case.

I tested this by leaving a horse in the middle of a field by Kakariko, then fast traveling to a stable and recalling it from there.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. I've been tentative with leaving my horse around, but now that I have a couple I'm not as worried anyway.

I ran into the same issue when I first got to the initial fire. I stayed at the inn nearby till morning... and the next thing the rain was gone and I did it easily.

You shouldn't run with sharp objects... lol

Trying to go blind entirely with this.

Just answer me this please.

1) is there a rendition of the classic zelda theme :D ?

2) is there a "hero" green tunic that you can get ? :D

Thank you !

I think you can get some cover, make a campfire, and then rest until it stops raining.

wait a day or two by a campfire 🙇🔥

I'm loving this game much, much more than I can go into detail at while at the office...

...I'll say though, anyone else think it a missed opportunity for comedy gold that (Spoilers on a silly plot-required outfit)
Gerudo Link doesn't elicit different reactions from NPC outside of the Gerudo desert? Unless I'm missing something, 'cause there was no difference with the habitants of Kakariko or Hateno that I talked to, and I would have loved to see how Impa, Paya, Manny or Prima would have reacted...More so when different masks in both OoT and MM did affect how most everyone reacted to you!

I haven't heard it yet.

There isn't a traditional one I have found in game yet... but you can dye certain clothes.

You can get more traditional outfits via Amiibos.

Anybody get the hardcover guide? Thinking about it picking it up as a reference for later on after I'm done with everything myself. I'm curious about the quality of the guide.

Mine came yesterday. The foldout map is super nice, has a map on both sides, one for Korok Seeds and the other for shrines/roads/villages.

It is laid out in an interesting way. It has all the story stuff up front, then a shrine section, then side quests, then inventory and so on. So sometimes it is a little confusing like when you want to look up a shrine quest you need to look in the shrine section not the quest section.

Otherwise I am really enjoying it so far.

Sorry, reposting for another page:

I've seen them around, but can't for the life of me find them anymore.

I don't know where specifically, but if I were to do it, I would warp to a tower in a region where there's harder mobs, and look for for treehouse encampments where moblins always are.

Man the VA sucks.. Takes me out of the game in a big way. It feels like nobody knows how to play a young girl in a video game without using that super cliched and obnoxious "soft fluffy young girl" voice.

I'm in a dungeon and I'm stumped. It's the
Elephant
dungeon.

There's a big wheel with a ball, and a chest sandwiched in between two rocks. The ball and the rocks can be put into stasis but launching them does nothing. I've got no clue what else I can do.

I see people screenshots with like 10+ hearts already, what the hell guys. I've played this game for well over 20+ hours and have 6 lol.

Are people just rushing to shrines or something? Goddamn.

Yeah I do agree with that, though despite finding her VA a little iffy, I do really like this Zelda. She seems a little more Hermione-esque in her characterization, it's kind of charming.

Thanks for the answers.

So if you buy amiibos you get specific costume of the figure ? Interesting... i bought an entire console for the game so I'm not gonna buy those in the near future but interesting :p ...

Is there a green tunic you can get without amiibos then ?

I know this game goes for something new, but I'm a sucker for nostalgia what can I say ?!

Turn the wheel with the water and use stasis on one of the rocks so you can get the chest.

Oh wow, I really don't understand the Lost Woods.

There are a couple of ways to navigate the Lost Woods. The quickest - albeit less-common way - is to
look for some sort of visual cue, something that sticks out, and follow it. Examples that I've seen thus far are collectible plants that form a path, tree branches (which you can collect) falling to form a path and (the quickest - just be sure to be ready to run after it) a deer running through the woods away from me.
The slower, more reliable way is to
walk very slowly. Think of the trees as either side of a gate. I suggest walking slowly in general, but be especially mindful when you're walking between any two trees. The moment the music starts to build, and the fog starts to get thick, pull back and run in the opposite direction. You'll avoid being sent back to the "beginning" of whatever area you're in.

I have to say that I wasn't really feeling this game up until this point, but the Lost Woods really impressed me. Such a cool area. It kind of reminds me of The Path, a game that uses some really interesting mechanics to keep you lost in the woods. I like how the Lost Woods
gives you hints at times, though. I just don't know how consistent they are.

Deku Tree also sounds awful. Everyone sounds awful when they're actually speaking a language. I found the NPCs who talk gibberish with a little Japanese inbetween much more charming.

There's a mechanic tied to the Shiekah slate menu that let's you manipulate the elephants trunk. Play with that.

I don't mind Zelda's character at all. Just her VA bothers me. Also Mipha's VA has basically the same problem for me.

Oh totally, I love this.

Haha... Im stumped on this one as well but
it's the gear below that one... To give you a hint on yours I would carefully look at the divine beast's map

Without giving it away entirely:

You're on the right track with stasis, but you need to figure out a way to get the wheel to move. Check out how the other wheel is moving and look at what you've got on your disposal. The slate has something that you may not have put to use yet.

Not a Link looking tunic no... but you can die it to green. I died all my clothes green when I first got to the dye shop.

There's 100% a solution to The Lost Woods that's much simpler than any of that.

Once you get to the double torches, follow the direction of the wind.

Thanks everyone! I've figured it out. Such a cool feature; I knew it was there but didn't know I could use it in such a way.

The first time I met one, it was at night in an abandoned town, and it was a fire one. I actually thought it was a Poe at first

Those pictures of giga horse are killing me.

Make sure to register that thing at a stable and cherish it forever

I miss the toucan sam wizzrobes. My sister would always say "Just follow your nose!" As I fought them in wind waker lol.

My game progress:
Three divine beasts tamed (only Gerudo one left), Master Sword gotten, 40 shrines completed, 40 hours played. Right now I am just doing side quests while searching for memories.

I am thinking of tackling the dungeon by
the Zoras
.

I have 5 hearts and one stamina upgrade and most of my weapons are in the 15-20 range. Am I ready for this shit or should I put it off a bit?
