Emphasis on the 'few'. I've only found 3 pieces of armor on every shrine I've done so far. And I've done quite a bit. But the assumption in this case is that I need to finish these sets so I need at least 3 more pieces, and I'm sure there's at least one more set in shrines if I had to take a guess

Any particularly interesting sets, or just stuff like +elemental resistance or such?

Climbing gear to climb faste
And rubber gear for shock resistance.

I haven't finished either though.
I also tamed an all black horse. Same stats. Took a few tries though. Has 4 "boosts". Pretty cray.

4 makes sense. Royal horse has 5. And also requires a decent amount of stamina upgrades to get.

Yes. I've noticed this as well... very washed out. My TV is calibrated, and everything else looks great on it (PS4, XBone, PS3... even other WiiU games)

Does the Switch version look less washed out?

I would like to know that as well. I'm tempted to go buy a switch if it doesn't have the washed out look. I don't want to sound like a graphics snob but between that, the low resolution, constant frame rate drops and the sea of jaggies running across the screen i'm really starting to get bummed out.

The gameplay is amazing but I'm surprised none of the things I mentioned above are brought up more often. Maybe the switch version is that much better.

If her horse icon disappeared from the area where she fell from, she's probably dead. I'm not sure if you can scan the amiibo again to get her back, but if you can't,
there's a fairy in the Faron region that can revive your dead horses (though you need to be ready to cough up some dough).

Switch version in handheld mode runs great in pretty much every location besides a few areas.

I wouldn't say the colors are washed out, at least in spots where there is a lot of color.

However, there are still noticeable jaggies in handheld and docked mode.
Also, docked mode has some serious frame rate issues in certain spots.

I would still say the Switch version is better then the WiiU one.

Damn this OT is going fast, its already outpacing the Horizon one.

It seems like you guys have a lot of things to say. To bad I still can't find a Switch currently to play Zelda.

Oh, lame. I didn't realize horse deaths were permanent, if I had I would have loaded an earlier save.

I noticed the washed out look too and I'm playing on switch, it feels like its way too bright and it's really hurting the colours in the game, I tried turning my TV brightness down a lot, it's helped a bit but not as much as I would like.

The art is beautiful but the game suffers from all the same problems you mentioned unless you play on the game pad, then the game looks much better and the frame rate drops much less often.

Wow, finally finished my first major area/dungeon (the desert) last night after a full weekend of playing. I absolutely love how the world is designed, the majority of the world being filled with deadly monsters but still being able to find these little pockets of civilization and vibrant towns is done so well. Just the way the NPCs seem to react to everything and wander around makes it feel that much more alive than most past zeldas (it definitely is reminiscent of majora's mask in that sense at least).

How are you all handling the recall memory hunt? I went from focusing on it, to just trying to run into it on a lark, to focusing on it again. After about 12 hours or so, I've only discovered one recall spot (not counting the initial one). I look at that one forest picture and think to myself there's no way I'm ever going to find it. Not enough specificity in the pic.

If you just stumble upon the area, does it give you any indication you're in the right place? This seems impossible to find these...

I got to the Zora village but only have upgraded my health once (4 hearts). Is there any recommended order of visiting the different races? I went near the Hyrule Castle and the damn guardians are just rocking me so the one that is sort of northwest of it (if I recall) is definitely out of the question.

The character design and actual city design is insane by the way. Also impressed that every guard, etc. is a unique persona with different dialogue.

I did the
Royal Horse with 3 stam upgrades and no potions. Just spam the hell out of L!

There's no recommended order, but most people seem to hit the Zora first simply because its definitely the easiest to get to based on where you start on the map and you get breadcrumbed towards the questline by visiting the tower.

As an extension of that question, are there any indicators for where the painter guy who tells you where the memories are will go next? I assumed it was only for the first one, but I found him at a stable and he told me where another memory was.

There's an npc in each stables who gives you concise directions for the closest memory of the stable

I've seen him in most or if not all stables so far

I'm sure people have recommendations, but I'd say testing your limits is part of the fun.

Otherwise
the NW has less requirements, at least at start

The ground will have a glowing rainbow circle that you can stand on and activate the memory. At least that is how it worked for the one I found. I've only discovered one so far.

can I sell my gemstones (other than Diamonds because they're rare)?

Trying to buy some new clothes but don't want to get rid of things that I might need.

So what do you need to do that allows the Old Man to sleep in his bed at Old Man's hut?

I know you can do it and I thought you had to say or do something to him and I'm pretty sure you can do it before you leave the Grand Plateau.
Indeed, that's strange.
Imo, don't waste your time and just eat to replenish your health.
There're plenty of food.

huh, he seeps in his bed? Haven't seen this either..

Why does it matter? Does it unlock anything? Or just replenish hearts? Ive now since left the platue, but yeah never got any prompt when by his bed.

Ive read, you probably shouldn't sell them. I think its best to just sell cooked food.

All of them have that, but its not necessarily easy to find the memories without getting the painter guy to give you a better idea of where to go since you can't exactly fly everywhere and the overworld is goddamn massive.

I was on top of a high mountain and noticed
the lake with the dueling peaks in the background picture
so I paraglided down to the general area. After getting to pretty much the precise spot, the ground lit up a little bit. But only when I was really close. Would have been extremely easy to miss.

I guess I'm just going to have to get over it and play the game. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't my tv or the Wii U causing the washed out look. I'm all about gameplay over graphics but man is this game rough around the edges.

Does the game actually give you a % at the end?

(Korok seeds must carry far too much weight if that is a real number)

Apparently at some point in the game
maybe after you beat Gannon and then reload the save to just before you fight him
the game shows you a completion percentage on the map screen.

There's a
Great Fairy Fountain that (I think, I haven't paid the 1,000 rupees to her yet, but it's what she implied) can revive dead horses. Perhaps try there?

I won't tell you where it is, you have to find that out for yourself :)

Anyone have a good way of getting rupees and/or arrows? I'd still like to figure it out on my own, but it might be getting to the point where it's a bit frustrating since I want to buy some new clothes or I want some arrows..I'm constantly at 0-5 arrows. I know I can pick them up after firing them, but I'm still in the negatives with that..

Is it supposed to be this rare to find either of these items or am I doing something wrong? Heh

Uh i didnt notice it earlier but it actually does. But is for the whole map so no idea when you finish a section of the map
