Sometimes I take screenshots of the game but once I see them still... they really look ugly thanks to all the jaggies and low res shadows but who cares, game looks great in motion.

I'm losing my mind trying to get a dragon horn shard for my champions tunic upgrades. Any tips on getting Farosh's horn? I can't figure out where to go that gives me the best chance to quickly fly over and shoot him in the horn. It seems incredibly tedious too since it's supposed to be one drop per day, and if you mess up you have to fast forward and wait around until the damn thing respawns.

The
Lakeside Stable in Faron, run out to the bridge at night, it comes right to you.

I really don't agree with the music complaints at all. The town themes are all incredible. They're varied, wonderful, and unique. They're some of my favorite town themes in the whole series. The minimalist field themes are wonderful as well, they're not the classic Zelda sound, that's true, but they really fit the tone the game is going for. The minimalistic nature really allows you to take in the serene beauty and the vastness of the world. I think the Guardian encounter music is also very strong, it's kind of funky and otherworldly, which really fits those moments.

I should clarify that I don't think the music is bad - I think it's excellent. I just don't think there's enough. I love what music there is. I just want more and in more places.

About an hour in so far, and for years of being meh on 3d zeldas, I think this is the one.

Loving it so far, and I've barely played anything. Can already tell I like the weapon durability stuff, as I like the fear of being without anything good, switching, etc.

Although early on girl said to open sheikah slate and go towards the one thing, I think I unselected it. Nothing shows on map now. So I dunno where to go, but who cares.

Why are people even bothering to upgrade the champion tunic when you can't get any set bonuses with it?

Get that maxed out Barbarian armor. It's OP to even guardian enemies.

I paid 100 rupees to a
great fairy
and couldn't upgrade my stuff did my money go for nothing?!

You can summon the fairy as much as you want with the A button

The rupees are a one time fee that unlock the ability to do so, upgrading costs no rupees, only resources.
Each fairy you unlock grants you another possible level of upgrade.

It looks like it outscales all the other chests I have, plus it has a unique ability.

Plus you only need two clothing pieces to get the weather/temperature resistance bonuses. Not of the set bonuses I've found have been enticing enough for me.

I don't have the Barbarian Armor yet though.

Where do you get the Zora Armor Helmet? I've had the pants and torso for awhile, no helmet though.

There is a lake North of Zora's Domain, it's in a chest in there.

It's completely broken. I wouldn't give money to scalpers though.

I decided to grab it. It'll be useful for every single Zelda game (and a bunch of non-Zelda games) that come out for as long as amiibos are supported at least. And it was only a few bucks over the original price.

Definitely better than the Sheik amiibo prices for sure. I'd love that mask to go with my Sheikah armor, but that'd cost more than the damn game did.

First the BotW Zelda amiibo for more Hylian Shields, now this?

BotW Zelda does not give you Hylian Shield, this is misinformation.

Because it shows enemy HP numbers

It's
above the waterfall behind the domain in the water of the ruins

Question:

In the Forest of Spirits, I've noticed piles of leaves(one in particular, under a larger tree) that appear as if something is hidden under them. I've tried using the Deku Leaf to blow the piles away, but nothing happens. Are these leaf piles just aesthetic or is there something underneath them? Visually, they stand out too much to be irrelevant. Maybe set them on fire?

I feel you. My friend has the complete set of Zelda ones so I basically forced him to let me borrow all of his lol, there's no way I'd paid for those outrageous prices that they're going for online atm.

So what is the "main perk" of using the Zelda amiibo? It seems odd that it's just random shields and vegetables. Especially for such a major character.

BotW Zelda gives out shields. That's her perk. None of the BotW Amiibo give out exclusives.

Her perk is pretty lame and the amiibo isn't really worth the increased cost since it's just a regular amiibo in quality and size

The BotW Zelda doesn't give Hylian Shields, that was a false rumor based off someone not knowing that a knight's shield (which is on the back of the box) isn't the Hylian Shield. The best shield BotW Zelda has is the Royal Shield.

BotW Zelda does not give you Hylian Shield, this is misinformation.

Oh, then why couldn't they make the thing "indestructible" like the Master Sword in that case?

She might have the highest frequency of dropping the shooting star fragments which are extremely rare and used for upgrading special armor. All drops have been datamined

How the fuck did you do this?

Don't you need 12 hearts to get that thing?

used that devil statue to respec my hearts into stamina you can do that even after you have the master sword to get less then 13 hearts if you want
Its in hateno village

I took a +2 Heat Resistant elixir, but I'm still catching on fire on the way to Death Mountain. What's the reason for it and how can I prevent it?

You need a specific elixer that makes you immune, not just resistant. They're for sale at
a nearby stable in the area.
.I think you can see it from the regions tower. Dunno which direction though.

Can't give better directions since I'm not on BOTW right now.

Finished the
Rito
dungeon on my lunch break. First off, The Switch is incredible. It's fucking badass that I was able to play an entire dungeon of the new 3D Zelda at my office desk.

Secondly,
I'd say that it was a little disappointing that there was less of a build-up to this dungeon compared to the Zora one, but I think the Rito village is amazing and has one of my favorite town themes in the game. The dungeon itself was simpler than the Zora one, but still quite fun. Finding the last thing to activate took me a few minutes. The boss was really fun though, jumping into those wind turbines to fly up in the air and shoot him with a bomb arrow in slow-motion was hype af.

The ability reward seems OP, this thing is gonna be fucking haaannnddddyyy.

What's the best armor worth upgrading?

I've yet to do any because I'm afraid of over-investing in something lackluster.

Also,
ancient armor
breaks, right?

From what i have seen all armor sets use unique parts to upgrade so you won't get screwed out of being able to upgrade something by upgrading something else.

BOTW fundementally solves three big beefs with modern open world games.

Large invisible boundaries that segment the word.

Mountains aren't invisible boundaries with select points of ingress. Climbing mountains is a fundemental way to explore regions and access multiple layers of the environment with different gameplay dynamics and rewards.

Map towers

Towers aren't all seeing data modules that bloat the map and finish the value of discovery. The tiers in this game are instead practical vantage points that allow you to meaningfully see out into the world and plot your course in game

Map clutter

The map isn't cluttered with overwhelming bloated icons exploding from each orifice. BOTW's Hyrule hints at places and leaves it up to you to disover them and decide their priority.

I just found out you can find ancient parts in the broken down guardians! I got close to one and notice A became 'search' and was giving some ancient screws...then I went to another and also got parts. Made me return to the hatana fort entrance and just get parts from them...till one guardian became active and I ran from there fast!
