It's not a real 120hz panel, it's 60hz.
120hz is just interpolation: " Movies are played smoothly, and fans of the soap opera effect can interpolate content to 120Hz."
A sony 4k TV with real 120hz refresh rate would be super freaking fantastic.
Uh, it is 120 hz native refresh rate. You cannot interpolate to 120hz with a 60 hz panel and only try to mimick it. I am not a fan of motion interpolation but sometimes watching sports or animated movies at 1080p, having a 120hz panel, you can see the difference between 60 hz. I think you are confusing something else?
It can't do 120hz at 4k, only at 1080p.
I know, I am talking about the fact it is still a 120hz native refresh panel and not 60hz. 4K/120Hz is some time off and we still need HDMI 2.1 to be able to receive and transmit such signals. 4K because of the sheer increase in visual fidelity, doesn't benefit as much from 60 hz to 120 hz unlike 1m720p and 1080p did.

I'm running a 980ti with the 43" screen. HDR games like Hitman and Shadow Warrior 2 just switch over to HDR mode as normal when I enable it in game.

I've been having some strange problems with this TV.
On occasion, my PC and PS4 will both drop connection then reconnect after a second or two. When this occurs, I get a black screen with the input/resolution details in the top left appear for a second.
Now I don't know why this is happening but it is very annoying. I doubt it is the specific TV I have since both 800Ds I got from Sony have the exact same problems. I thought it may be the HDMI cable but both the one I bought and the one that came with my PS4 Pro exhibit the same sort of problems.
The only thing I could think of is that it could be a GTX1080 problem, since NV drivers have been shitting the bed this generation.

Also if you have a 120hz panel you can do BFI to reduce blur
maybe naming the hdmi ports manually and not use the auto detect, had a similar issue with a samsung i had and it was due to the tvs auto naming the ports, not sure if sony works the same
A few of us in this thread have had the same issue. I've tried changing connections, cables, etc. and haven't been able to find a solution yet. When I asked Sony about it, the engineer they sent couldn't give me a clear answer as to what was causing it.
what tv is that, I wouldn't mind picking up a 1080p 120hz tv, if it really is native
I think I did this when I turned Bravia Sync off. It stopped the PS4 Pro from completely cutting out (it merely displays the port number and name in the top right intermittently) but its still crazy annoying. The PC still has the full second black outs though.
Good to know its (probably) a Sony problem. It seems the problem occurs less if I run the TV in YCbCr422 but obviously that isn't optimal for a desktop.

Has anyone figured out a way to get 4:2:0 10/12bit while using a pc? Seems its not capable which leaves nasty banding with HDR games :/ might be a deal breaker that causes me to sell this set

I got he black screen prob once. I think it has to do with console and tv handshake. I believe disconnecting the hdmi and restarting the console and tv fixed it. It's been a while though. I've since updated the tv and has not happened since.

Well good news regarding my stuck pixel, trying jscreenfix didnt work, but Sony have agreed to send out a replacement set. Really impressed with that considering it's a 1 in 8,294,400 fault.

Nope from PC World last Christmas Eve who claimed that they couldn't replace it as Sony only repair/replace in the case of two of more pixels.
Don't know if it's worth calling them out on their bullshit or not.
thats good that sony will do it themselves, even going to the lengths of sending an engineer or replacement rather than letting the seller do it.

I also have the Windows 10 Insider Build, but I can´t find any HDR settings :-/

It's a weird quirk of the app which is really outdated. New videos only go up to 480p. After about a day higher resolutions are available. Kind of a pain but I have to use the shitty browser to play the odd new video in 720p and above.
As a second monitor to a PC, or primary for that matter, I am not aware of a media player that supports HDR playback, likely due to the metadata issue.
Currently, the only method is to use a USB stick.

Horizon looks foggy playing on the ps4 pro. Zelda BOTW was like that as well on WiiU but I just assumed that how the game was. But playing PC games generally look fine. Is there some setting I can change to fix this?

Can't speak for Horizon since I don't own it, but Zelda is hazy looking. But I'm pretty sure it's by design since no other games look like that on my set. I'm pretty much used to it now.

Yup. I'm just playing Horizon without HDR now and it looks much better. I don't know if it's a problem with the TV itself or just my perception.
I got mine two days ago and have been fiddling with the settings, especially the color temperature since I had the same issue.
I too found it to be way too yellow when using the default settings for "game" mode, but lowering the color temperature down to "warm" (maybe even neutral) made it look much better in my opinion. By default, it's on "Expert 1" which is even warmer than "warm".
Thanks, I'll have a mess around with BOTW later today, Wipeout looked great using the standard preset, but I have no idea what that does to input lag
Zelda looks ok in standard but I have a feeling it would look better in vivid (though again, probably at the expensive of input lag)

Brightness max, Contrast (near) max, Gamma 0 (not -2, that was my mistake at first). Go from there.
I also felt like color temperature to neutral helped, that's very dependent on personal preference though.
For everything outside of HDR content you might wanna keep the brightness as low as possible and play around with Gamma a bit.
What screen option should i choose? HRD video content or custom?
