Give me Sin and Punishment Collection. The original and Star Successor in HD on a cartridge with both traditional and gyro controls and online leaderboards. I'd buy that for $50.
Why settle for gyro when there's an IR camera in the right joycon?

Not enough content yet to offer 30% off coupons yet.
Wait til 2 years from now when they start offering 30% on games you've already bought.

Come on now, inconvenient- yes, but the game would still work just fine. Even BOTW Wii U removed all second screen functionality.
If the option is Wind Waker HD port with no second screen or no WWHD port at all, I'll take option 1
Has Soraya Saga retweeted the Direct announcement? That is the only thing that truly matters tbh

Honestly, for franchises like Zelda and Donkey Kong Country, if they're going to put out remasters on Switch, it should be in the form of collections, not individual remasters.
In that case, Zelda still obviously has terrific selling power, but the Retro DKCs would also be a much better value proposition.
.
I'd rather they create a new Star Fox game than a port of Zero.
Or just remaster the SNES game at this point.
This. Ideally, the most I'm hoping they can take from Zero are the assets, which would just make turn around time slightly easier.
Otherwise, I'd be all for Miyamoto and EAD senior staff just taking more of a supervisory role so that P* and the younger EAD devs can make a StarFox game on their own. There's gotta be someone among the younger generation who has an idea of how to make a good StarFox game
Why settle for gyro when there's an IR camera in the right joycon?
Because there isn't a sensor bar for the IR to be used the way you want it to be used.
I keep telling them to make a sequel for Assault but they aren't listening.
Gotta milk that SNES/64 nostalgia funbucks somehow.
Guys
Assault was crap
Exactly.Blame all the loud fans of the old games that hate anything that isn't all on rails and dares to let you outside your vehicle (Assault multiplayer was the most fun I've had with the series)

The arwing stuff was great. Just a shame about the unfun onfoot stuff.
Exactly.
Nothing is much more thrilling than inviting friends over to do Assault multiplayer.
Command, Adventures and Zero exist. Also it cannot be crap when it has the best multiplayer function in the series.
If there is another Star Fox at some point, it needs to entirely rework the series ala Breath of the Wild.
It did that already, its called Star Fox AdventureIf there is another Star Fox at some point, it needs to entirely rework the series ala Breath of the Wild.

That's the exact problem though, EPD (EAD) never made a full sequel to their blockbuster 5 million seller on the N64. Instead they did all sorts of unsuccessful wacky experiments (Command, Zero, Adventures) outside of the 3DS remake and the Namco-Bandai joint (which sucked!).
If the 3ds was a person, it would be an ugly, out of shape dude in his late 50s that gets lucky once in a while because he's got money.nani
also 3DS has backwards compatibility
BotW took Zelda back to its roots; nothing was reworked. I'm not sure what Star Fox needs as I don't know how many fans want it to be more than an on-rails shooter. If there is another Star Fox at some point, it needs to entirely rework the series ala Breath of the Wild.

After you fire your Arwing 20 times the ship explodes. Or you could fly it into your enemies.
I think there are two ways the franchise could evolve. the adventures route (change the genre to a more mainstream genre while retaining some of the elements that made the series popular) or the sin and punishment star successor route (make a railshooter that is even more crazy than before)That's the exact problem though, EPD (EAD) never made a full sequel to their blockbuster 5 million seller on the N64. I don't think Nintendo is really that interested in making another Star Fox game, same with F-Zero. That's why they consistently have given those to other hands and taken an overseeing role.

Out of these two I honestly think that the adventures route is the only way to go.

Vita was the hot stud giving the babes all the gifts and always going down but because a bunch of assholes started a rumour that he had an STI and his father disowned him, his babe pool was much smaller than it should have been.If the 3ds was a person, it would be an ugly, out of shape dude in his late 50s that gets lucky once in a while because he's got money.
I see this discussion has veered into the strangely popular alternate universe where Zero isn't the best Star Fox game.
(To be fair, I'd put it second after Kid Icarus: Uprising.)
They technically developed Star Fox Zero in-house, but obviously leveraged how many in-house staff they could dedicate to the project. Nintendo programmed the game, but couldn't be bothered to use their own artists for the game. Even worse was that the concept wasn't appealing to new or traditional users for the most part.
Miyamoto made an error not commissioning his teams to develop a true sequel for the GameCube, and quite frankly the franchise has never recovered.
How do you do pointer with just an ir camera on the controller
I would love Nintendo to release a new game brand 'Nintendo Vault' and release HD remaster collections of Wii, 3DS and Wii U games. Having everything Nintendo on 1 platform and it being portable would be amazing.
Have there been any credible rumours towards HD remasters other than the rumoured Smash 4 port?

So are they going to talk about Gamecube VC or are they keeping this for E3?

Switch is that guys son who learned a lot from his father, though he doesn't go down quite as much as his dad did and doesn't go as crazy with the gifts. But there were no shitty rumours to derail him unlike his dad, so he seems to have a better chance with the ladies anyway. And he has supportive parents.
I'm sorry.

The posts I was responding to were arguing that "mainly" is a synonym for "HOLY SHIT GUYS WE'RE ALSO REVEALING SMASH AND DRAGON QUEST!"No part of this is ambiguous but with all due respect you didn't get it. It is "information on 3DS and Switch". This information happens to be "focusing mainly on" two games in question. This means the segments about these two cover lion's share of Direct's time. This doesn't mean there won't be anything else, in fact it means there will be something else because otherwise they shouldn't mention the 3DS at all, and word "mainly" is not a synonym to "exclusively".
Let's hope those STIs aren't hereditary and the Switch gets all the ladies.Vita was the hot stud giving the babes all the gifts and always going down but because a bunch of assholes started a rumour that he had an STI and his father disowned him, his babe pool was much smaller than it should have been.
