Elite Dangerous? What particular aspects of No Man's Sky are you looking for in other games, as that'd help with the suggestions.
Survival, exploration, base building.

Never played Katamari Damacy. It never got ported.

Astroneer is good fun, but it's also quite easy-going. There's some light survival mechanics but the emphasis is on exploring and building a base. Still in Early Access tho, if that bothers you.

Astroneer got updated, tons of fun at the start. Survival is pretty light though.

I'm playing Arkham Knight now as well. Just thought I'd check to see if you're using RivaTuner Statistics Server with it. For me, it changed the performance to be much, much smoother. It feels way better. Same with Mafia III. I forgot to thank him in Steam chat -- I was so blown away by how great it worked that I kept trying it in other games -- but thanks for the recommendation, JaseC!

My game runs fine though.
Just occasionally you get stuff like... well that, and every blue moon it will freeze.

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?
I was playing Subnautica recently and it's got all three of those. The biggest knock against it is the performance is still really rough and it all takes place on the same static map.
I haven't played them but I think The Forest, Don't Starve, The Flame and the Flood, and The Long Dark all have similar aims.

What's funny is that it used to be an even harder fight shortly after the game release.
I was beaten to the punch on Arkham Knight, but, yeah, I was referring to whichever PC performance thread OP you read that made you aware of RTSS.

Wow, as is the boss is actually not that hard, but he does tend to trap you at the corner.
When he jumps high you need to time your movement AND jump as that you don't get stunned. Getting stunned has you take only 10 damage so it isn't that big an issue as he doesn't necessarily attack you with anything powerful after it.

It's probably the closest you'll get to Monster Hunter on PC, if you enioy that franchise. Plus it's a good port due to QLOC working on it.
Tempted but I think I'll wait a bit more
