Easy Allies @ E3 2017 Streaming Thread & Schedule

The problem isnt that they show sports games, its that they TALK about sports games for extended periods of time. They come to E3 with 15 or 20 minutes worth of stuff and stretch it into a 90 minute conference with all their talking.

I still don't think the Scorpio is anything other than a marginal increase.

It's not gonna be cost effective, it's gonna be an enthusiasts device just like the Pro.

The rumour is that it's priced the same at PS4 Pro and we know it has about 50% more GPU power. It is more than marginal, especially compared to the original XB1, but just how developers use it.

DF had a video on YouTube about how PS4 Pro will benefit from the Scorpio. If both players have upgraded models, they can target the higher end and then scale down for Pro.

One of the worst conferences I've ever seen. If No Way Out wasn't there, it would've been all pretty dreary.

Last year was way, way, wahahayyyyyyyy worse.

And 2015 had fuckin Pele and Sports titles taking 1000 years of screen time.

This honestly was best EA conference I can remember.

See, you're not wrong. I remember being far more annoyed and pissed at other EA conferences. This was mostly just mediocre, but I didn't really get riled up by awful things like other conferences.

GODDAMN THE DEATH STARE

Maybe its just me but I don't feel that a lot of the people who watch E3 coverage care much for sports games.

Some do. My brother watches for FIFA and then turns off and some sports Twitch streams that are very big are hosting like EZA. They have a place, but talking about it when so little change year on year is silly. I think Madden and FIFA had the right amount this year, bar the weird video of people talking about Alex Hunter.

They make massive changes year over year though, FIFA and Madden are radically different this year.

Sometimes they do, like the Frostbite overhaul, but they seem to be once every 4 or so years. Even though I prefer PES right now, I still play FIFA every year.

Yeah I just made this point to my friend. If you're into the sports then you see the nuances that they change, similar to how someone really into MOBAs for example can see changes that I can't.

I think them saying that EA brought in the drumline as a reaction to Sony's orchestra is a little out of line. I'm sure they thought it would be entertaining, but I just don't believe in EA saying, "Hey look at what Sony did I'm sure this will be the same thing" and bring in a drumline.

I don't believe they're that tone deaf.

Well it was a better paced conference than last year for sure. Which wouldn't take much to do. Focusing on 2017 titles is a decent move, especially since they will have opportunities later like at Gamescom and PSX to show 2018 things.

They have to do better at presentation. The guy introducing the A Way Out said way too much and even announced the title before showing the game. That's the job of the reveal trailer. And throwing NBA Live outside for a demo was terrible as well and would have been better to cut out entirely. As Kyle said that was how they chose to show it for the first time. There was one point where a guy was describing something in detail and then showed a trailer that said the same thing but better. Things like these just drag the whole show down.

So yea better and learned some lessons for sure, but they are still too uptight and and real bad at forcing enthusiasm and do things that are either a waste of time or poorly convey what they want to say. A brisker pace and trimmed down show could solve those issues in the future.

Right, but those MOBA changes are patches and they're not revealed at a conference. Nuances are one thing, but if you can't properly show off the change in a trailer, move on.

Data of Ronaldo says nothing really, but as a hot point in a trailer, it works.

lol they're all giving it 8s, they're way too easy of graders.

Ok 6.9 from Huber ha

Edit: Now they're all going down to 7s hahaha

I think they were joking.
