Dragon Ball FighterZ - Gameplay Footage - 60 FPS Direct Feed

i wanted a gif of goku's intro (where he transforms into super saiyan) so tha people could see the difference with the anime (which is where it was copied from)

In the anime the transition is great. In the game, is super stiff. I don't like it.

anime: the hair goes from yellow to a stronger yellow, and the hair moves a lot at the beginning, while the movement is subttle by the end.

in-game: the hair goes from black to strong yellow with outlines (sudden change) and from moving a lot to completely still.

its not a high quality gif, but that's not the point.

edit: also, the aura surrounding goku by the end, is on point in the anime (it's more subttle), not so much in the game.
 
Everyone who says they prefer Sean Schemmel over Nozawa has NEVER sit down and watched an entire Dragonball series in Japanese. You can bet on it. There's a reason why a lot of people have turned to Nozawa when watching Super due to being the only way to be up to date on it at the moment.

First time I watched Dragonball was in jaoanese on VCR tapes with my cousins. That was from saiyan to cell saga.

Massively prefer the dub.
 
I kinda hope they'd have SSJ as a tactical mechanic. I don't want to see Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Trunks always in SSJ mode. A lot of that has to do with the fact that I think the whole design of SSJ characters is one of the worst design choices in Dragon Ball. Ruins the characters. No worry in saving costs on ink to print black hair now. Lets not have SSJ all the time please.
 
This is like game of the show for me at the moment. It just embodies everything it set out to do and it did it gloriously. F'n day one and 1/3rd!
 
I kinda hope they'd have SSJ as a tactical mechanic. I don't want to see Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Trunks always in SSJ mode. A lot of that has to do with the fact that I think the whole design of SSJ characters is one of the worst design choices in Dragon Ball. Ruins the characters. No worry in saving costs on ink to print black hair now. Lets not have SSJ all the time please.

Default SSJ is the best choice between having half the roster with a dragon install that the other half doesn't, or padding the roster with doubles.

Add that

1) the base model has a lot of issues so having the screen frozen on him for so long exposes those flaws even more

2) the aura is behind him which looks bad

They should have given him the same as Vegeta.

Dragon Ball Z has a bad habit of just throwing out older techniques for the new shit. I'd rather this game not follow that. Take Goku for example. I'd rather Goku have states like Kaio-Ken, SSJ1, SSJ2, SSJ3 that each have their own trade offs. I'm sure it would add some extra complexity to the game, but that's something I'd be in favor of.

Or just having it as a kind of taunt. Recking someone and then going SSJ? Your opponent will be fuming haha

There's a difference between complexity and breaking a game. Four separate buff states for a single character is insane. Even something like a stance switch system makes it unfair.

Stop nitpicking, I rather prefer a solid gameplay than having ASW wasting time on things that your not going to notice in motion. It's an intro... And the game is not releasing tomorrow maybe they'll fix it, if not, it's not that important​.

Let's talk about SSJ2 lighting/spark in the manga that look awesome versus the fucking terrible anime adaptation that looks terrible and cheap.

I actually prefer constant SSJ - I've never been a fan of Saiyan's having access to several power-boosting transformations that the majority of the character roster don't have access to. Having SSJ as the base form sort of alleviates that.

And besides that after the Namek saga Saiyans practically always fought using their Super Saiyan form.

I already said the rest is perfect (including all the other intros).

I'm just questioning how they ended up fucking up Goku since they nailed all the others perfectly.

I like intros in my fighting game, sorry.
