wew man some of these people playing ranked either need to read the goddamn mode rules or get back to turn war lol. some of these teams are way too heavy.

Eh... I'd still much rather that than hotshots thinking they are going to clear a path, never getting on the tower, ever, dying, and the team just coasts to an easy win.

Yeah, it's a great idea to have everyone on your team die because they all crowded the tower, be sent back to spawn, and then give the other team an easy capture? Like, what? It's terrible strategy once you capture the tower. If you're just talking about rushing to capture the tower, sure, but I'm talking about once that part is already done. I don't feel like you should ever have more than two on the tower itself. Does it even move that much faster with more people? The only time I would see doing something like that is if you're so close to the last leg you do one last blitz to get it over the finish line.

Its the same with Rainmaker, people grab it and are too scared to do anything.

I get some amazing progress by just fucking walking. Sometimes the team doesn't even notice as I'm walking/ jumping through their own fucking ink past them. Move that shit forward.

I don't really see the correlation.

Eh, in my years of playing the game, a team wipe is almost never the problem. I'd accept that every time rather than people who have no interest of ever getting on the tower, or moving the rainmaker.

I don't really see the correlation

People focus way way too much on kills and creating some ideal progress scenario. If its clear you are going to die, sure try to get away, but get right back on the tower. Or plant a bomb and make the tower unusable.

Same with Rainmaker, grab the damn thing and move it forward, a lot of games come down to a single point.

Think i will just use the official squid sisters art design as my tattoo idea of them fan art is either too waifu like or not somethin i like or a different style entirely.
And i like the weirdness/goofyness of the official art fits em perfectly and it's nicely balanced instead of going to far to a side.

Altho i will replace callie's pink with red.
While my profile pic has a full version with callie too i find the wave ish pose kinda eh as a tattoo. The official nintendo one looks weird/silly in a neat way and i don't want a waifu looking tattoo. Place would be on back right shoulder so 75% of the time it's covered anyway and honestly never had problems (lots of compliments even) with my zelda tats but i look casual looks wise and they are done very well/look cool design wise so that both helps alot.

Splatoon kinda helped me out of a despressing/stressfull situation i had this year and you can find that in my page 1 post. And i like the squid sisters the most (design and personality wise in the series, not sexual/waifu wise >.>).

While looking on deviantart and pinterest for ideas/inspiration i saw some ehm weird feet fetish art of em pop up tho lmao between normal art.... Seriously that weirded me out alot:P

Sorry if i drifted/typed much just sort of excited haha (damn ADHD!). Appointment would be months of anyway due to waitings list so enough time to think it fully through. But i had the idea in my head for a while already.

It's cool that you've ironed out your concept more! I hope you end up with something you love. ^^

Had a strange glitch occur. I won a Turf War and it was enough to level me up to 17. But then it leveled and the meter went. And went. And it kept going. Endlessly filling. Slowly. It almost reached Level 18 before the screen finally went back to the Lobby where... I was back to Level 16, missing ten points for 17. I thought I was going to get a freebie, but instead I just got mugged of my level up lol.

Musselforge Splat Zones is kind of ridiculous, it seems near impossible to take the zone back after it's been captured. The combination of it being on the high ground and the grate bridge make it super hard to approach and very easy to defend. So far all 3 matches I've played there were almost effortless KOs.

Starfish Mainstage is great though

I feel like splatzones in general is easier to defend than retake

Seems like a good area denial weapon, covers a lot of ground for turf wars.

Requires motion control.

Requires endless jumping.

And when someone can out range you, hold that brush down and RUN.

Nah, going back to my machine gun or whatever it is, have the most success and on top of my team (believe it or not) most of the time.

I do have to say that the sniper rifle or whatever it is doesn't belong in turfwar IMO. Just doesn't seem to a weapon that works well in that mode.

Taking a break anyways, need to charge up my switch again. But man I love this game.

You need to truly build experience with each weapon to see it's true potential. There is incredible balance to all the weapons. You will learn to fear skilled ink brush players.

This.

Even weapons like the aerospray which easily get ranged out can still be deadly in the right hands.

You'll see a lot of weapons get phased out of ranked, but there are damn good players of all weapon types.

I mean, as an aerospray player, I feel like in ranked you don't focus on killing other players if you're using it

I'm fine with the random weapons, that's not what we were talking about, it was more about the actual mix of them in today's round.
I know, the second part of my post wasn't really related (but I still think roller is fine in this mode)

It seems like even the more talented players just rush the tower like madmen and then try to stay on top of it. I really don't get it at all. Okay, its a tad more complicated than SplatZone, I guess, but shit
Any subtle things to think about beside being organized around the tower?

Also, I wonder... Is there any reason to stay on top of the tower when you captured it and it's in your side? Is it going faster to the center when someone is on it or not?

And why the line between the tower and some close skids, in map mode? I don't remember that in Splatoon 1?

Finally made it to A in TC.
Congratulations... "Finally", though? That was fast...

A) That's brilliant.

C'mon really, giving me the weakest upgrade (cold blooded) three times in a row and twice on one item?

A little help, please?

So I lost yet another Salmon Run because my three teammates kept the golden eggs in their backpack until the end on the countdown for some reason, missing our quota by 3 eggs, obviously.

That was Wave 1

It's absurd but I'm serious. When the other team sees you with the rainmaker and their map inked out. They get oddly complacent, and a lot of times I literally just keep walking, and juking and jumping around, doggedly forward, and you slip through, a lot of times they seem to lose focus and go for the team members behind me.

Obviously like 8 out of 10 times you die. But those extra points always come in handy and sometimes you just get past them.

Edit: This is opposed to the mindset a lot of people have of like, "okay, I got the rainmaker, gotta kill the whole team and make sure there is a path before I more forward."

Naaaaaaaah. If I see even a spot of ink of my color, I'm going for it.

You still can, just have to be sneaky. When an aerospray pops up in front of you, there isn't a lot you can do, cause the fire rate is so high.

Three things I've noticed so far,

1) I haven't seen a single person use hamster ball yet.

2) I haven't played against any Japanese people, are they on a different server to us?

3) My one and only drawing hasn't appeared in any level yet :( I remember my miiverse drawings always appeared in Splatoon 1.

Does it even move that much faster with more people?
I don't believe so, but if an enemy jump on it, it'll stop if you're alone, and go on if you're two.

But I agree, except for some special cases, being several on the tower can often be counter-productive.

I'm not saying an Aerospray can't get kills. Just that it shouldn't be priority for them.

Seriously why can't me and my friend be on the same team always if he joins me while I'm playing?

What logic is there behind us being on different teams?

I've seen plently (and it's sometimes nasty)... but aren't the weapon with it mid-level? It took some time for those to appear.

2) I haven't played against any Japanese people, are they on a different server to us?
I wonder, too... In Splatoon 1, on morning, I usually got 7 japanese... I haven't seen a single one yet. I guess that as long as there's enough people, it uses local first...

Why the fuck wouldn't they always put you on the same team as friends you're playing with?

It's 2017, Nintendo.

It's awful to play with friends. Any other developer I would expect to patch this if for some fucking reason they launched their game like this, but it's Nintendo and unfortunately, it's probably never going to happen.

I think this actually is a good choice.

I love that if you have 8 people fighting it out, its going to swap em around.

So maybe there is a person who is really jacking you up all the time, sometimes he will be on your team and you'll bro it out.

Same with friends. I don't want to be fighting teams of friends, super coordinated and working together all the time.

I love the randomness of Splatoon and the silence of it.

I haven't played any Rainmaker yet, but I'm just having the opposite problem with Tower Control than you, it seems. Capturing the Tower is easy, but then everyone wants to be on the Tower itself, we all die, and the other team has to tower with ease. But yeah, I mean, if that is a problem for you I agree, getting to the Tower when you're on the offensive should be the #1 priority.

Not really. I would just say once you're on the defensive with the Tower if there's one than two people there already just jump off and run cover, unless you have a charger or something maybe. I imagine they are good to have on the Tower itself, but I hate chargers so I never play with them.

Well I've read you can do exactly that in league mode. Haven't tried it myself though.

I'm guessing the logic behind it is to ensure ranked battles always are made of if teams with similar skill levels. Can't guarentee that if anyone can join.

It will be fun to see new players experiences. But I fully expect plenty more "GET ON THE TOWER!!" and "GRAB THE DAMN RAINMAKER!!!" Posts.

Aero spray in turf war really helps you carry and come back if need be, it’s nice outside of it’s obvious downside of kill potential compared to other shooters

But nice for turf war I suppose
