Salmon Run has to be the worst part-time job ever.

+Looks very far from Inkopolis aka awful commute
+Grizz makes you wear bulky outfit with no upgrades like your normal gear
+Have to fight literal hordes of disgusting creatures including some that straight up eat you
+Goop everywhere
+If you do a good job, there's a chance you don't get paid at all and just get closer to being paid
+Pay consists mostly of gatcha balls
+Grizz says nothing about providing references

Like seriously, maybe look into restocking Shella Fresh or ask Crusty Sean if there's a shift open.

Dat aqua striped polo tho

fuck the autobomb, thing requires zero skill

people just put it down when the super jump circle appears and go away, the thing just waits then explodes right as you land

wtf?
v
Also I want to say this to all new players, when you are jumping to someone BEFORE YOU GO pay attention to the number of people near him or the rate ink from the oposing team is being spread near them.

I've had countless times where Id be kiting the enemy team fighting 1 v 3 and people just jump on me to their death. Don't be that guy. Come back in an alternative route if you have to, jumping to someone isn't always the right answer and you need to learn the stage lay outs for ambushing and sneaking

Not sure if I will venture in Ranked. I am level 10, just want to enjoy my time with the game. I'm not competitive anymore. Still need to try out Salmon Run and the rest of the campaign. Great game.

Splatoon, Zelda, Mario, and Pikmin are certainly my favorite Nintendo franchises.

Ranked is fun to dip into not just for being competitive but because it has 3 game modes that are only in that :D They really change up how stages get approached and the matches

You act like it takes skill to see the super jump circle, stand there, and hold the trigger when the player lands. If an opponent sees your circle and there are no allies around anymore, you're fucked 99% of the time

Don't super jump into a war zone. Problem solved.

I jumped to someone who was still alive and had just killed the person that was there but be glib.

I mean. Anyone can do that with any bomb, with proper timing. The idea is to not be a glowing "literally just kill me" marker.

keywords "with proper timing" which would require some skill

see above. there was no one around except an autobomb

I didn't "jump into a warzone" or whatever else

I jumped to a guy who had just killed an enemy, he was still alive, so this scenario is false

For those that thought the Aerospray is over powered do you think the Nzap is too? They play similar so I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are.

I certainly recommend Ranked even if you have no intention of competing for Rank S+ and beyond. The Game mode there are unique and very well designed twists on established traditional modes. The intensity is ramped up yes, but in a good way I feel and weapons that otherwise don't see use get more time to shine. It's a lot of fun.

Also, really do try out Salmon Run. Mode's super easy to lose hours to especially since the core design is excellent and recaptures that Twist on the genre feel that the original game brought.

I don't think either are overpowered they both feel average to me, the aerospray I actually think kinda sucks the Nzap can actually fight a majority of the weapons decently

I don't get the complaints about the Aerospray being OP. I lose just about every fight with it that does not involve a special.

I just had a victory where it was 46.7 to 46.6.

Holy fuck I forgot how fun this can be!!

Afaik they proved in the old game that Judd basically flips a coin when it gets that close. Tested with matches where both players would throw one splat bomb and then wait out the clock.

I've only bought stuff from Murch from the app. I'm trying to level everything I buy. I've bought everything I available so far + gear from gen 1 Amiibos.

Did you invite your friend(s) via the app?

All I want to do is jump into random turf war matches with my friends instead of us trying to find a spot in a room.

If I didn't get this game as a gift I would have skipped out on one of the most fun multiplayer games to come from Nintendo. It can get annoying at times depending on who you're teamed up with but I don't have a lot of negative things to say about Splatoon 2.

I see this a lot about the Aerospray but I honestly don't have trouble against most weapons save for the Inkbrush. The biggest challenge for me is going against two or more if I'm not prepared for it.

Oh crap what I posted was for salmon haha, for your buddies just have one dude start and everyone join his room, some might have to sit out a game but once the next game starts everyone should be playing together

Jumping is inherently risky. Take the l

What online modes might my 7 year old enjoy? I know there are multiple modes and zones, just want a mode my son would have the most 'fun'

Try the Turf War and go from there. It's basic, but very involving even if all you do is ink and nothing else. Even my first time player nephew enjoyed the mode.

I've done both private battle and online lounge. After my friend joins I don't have an option to hit ZL to invite randoms.

Are you able to post a screenshot? There should be an icon indicating that you can invite randoms.

Can you stop from levelling so levels stay easy?

Losing will lower your score, which can lead to a demotion. If they don't mind losing, they can just keep playing with the difficulty scaling to their skill & the skill of their teammates.

What do the numbers on the match result screen represent? I know the second number is for ults, I was pretty sure the first one is number of splats, but then I had a match where I splatted no one, and the number was 3. Are they tracking assists now?

Edit: wait Aerospray is actually good is this game? no one used those is Splatoon 1 outside of Turf Wars

Yes, assists are tracked. Even giving someone ink armor and that someone splating a enemy is counted

He's talking about salmon run.
