how about we don't have weapons in the game that require no aiming?

the missiles are also stupid and should be removed

also the brush should be removed, splatoon 1 became worse when they added it, it's trash... requires no aiming, just requires someone to mash their button and move left and right.. disgusting weapon
 
I actually like how salmon run forces you to use shitty weapons.

The challenge is fun. Makes you use teamwork and fill your role.

Start a game, have your friend go to the friends option and then select join lobby.

Also, from the link I provided earlier:
To start a party go to the online area (the giant tower in the city square) and scroll down to either Private Battle or Online Lounge. The first allows you to make your own room to play against people you've met or friends, with the latter allowing for the same feature, but with voice chat enabled. You cannot currently form a voice chat party and play online against other people. So if you want to talk to your buddies and shoot people then you're going to need to invite 8 people.

Uh, that weapon is actually a pretty high skill ceiling weapon. Use it yourself and go dominate

I'm most likely picking this up tomorrow. I usually play on a TV, but I'll have to play a lot in hand held mode for most of the week.

I heard there's issue with the motion controls or something in handheld mode? Or is it just the fact that you'll be flailing around your switch a lot?

It's the same, except this time instead of an inkstrike it has the curling bomb launcher which is insanely easy to get. I had one game where I used it SEVEN times!

You make your own drawing by visiting the red post box on the left side of the square. I forgot where it is exactly but you can draw your own picture and display it on a linked social media account. Once you do, your picture will display above your head in other people's squares.
 
How is the tower calculation goes? How do you know if you won if not by knock out. A lot of times we've reached further and had it longer, and still lose...

Movement is a bigger skill gap in this game.

Autobomb sends a huge pulse when it's about to explode, makes a very audible sound.

Missiles give you extremely obvious warning, incredibly easily avoidable unless you're distracted, and you can use the missile trail to track the launcher, launcher is super vulnerable while firing

Brush users have the range of a dead ant and barely deal any damage per hit
 
I am finding motion controls easier to use while handheld compared to joycons detached and attached to the grip.

Is the pro controller even better for motion controls?

Ah so it's strong because it has a strong special, and the weapon is very good at charging up specials.

I'm still not used to having Burst Bomb replaced on Carbon Roller and the regular Slosher.
It's embarrassing whipping out a Suction Bomb in the heat of battles and draining my ink tank..
 
I think the reason the aerospray feels bad is because the maps are smaller, so you're forced to fight more and it can't fight well. If left alone it can obviously dominate the map, but anyone who is halfway decent will just push you.
 
Why the hell people keep playing Tower as if it were Team Deathmatch? It's infuriating when you see them focusing so much on kills instead of trying to move the tower
 
Never played Splatoon 1, however I purchased this as it seems the Inklings are Nintendos big new character IP.

I didn't know what to expect. I didn't do much research and though it would be a generic shooter with paint instead of bullets/guns.

This game is amazing and I'm happy I purchased it...it's just so fresh (no pun), and I'm having a blast!! If I had it on Wii U I probably wouldn't have this fresh take on it but it's an amazing game.

For those on the edge trust me buy it! I was scared to play online as I get destroyed with Call of Duty games...however this is just a blast!!!
 
Man I am having an absolute BLAST playing this. The new stages are great as well as the new Salmon Run mode. As a vetern player I kind of felt like Rambo for the first 10 levels or so but the challenge is definitely starting to even out. I can always tell when I am facing and experienced Splatoon player though. We are a brutal bunch. Haha

Hope all you new players to the series are starting to warm up to the controls at this point. Once they click you will be splatting with the best of em'!
Plus it'll be nice to have a large Splatoon community to play with. I can see this as my go to game for quite awhile.

I don't know how the hell Nintendo always manages to make magic but this is no exception. An instant classic as far as I'm concerned.

I still dont understand how to get more slots on my items :(
When I talk to the NPC he says he's busy, I'm guessing I need more lvl? (currently 9)

I wouldn't mind if these score screens gave me enough time to read them

salmon run is awful for this

They open up as you get higher lvl

right now you should be shopping on Splatnet. I got a hat and shoes that have max slots and I'm level 10.

I don't know why, but I'm like 800x better at splatting foes with the Aerospray than with other rapid-fire weapons. I don't really like it that much but I've pretty much been forced to use it since it works so well :O

Sorry folks, I guess that makes me part of the problem!
 
They need to make it so that you can just shoot Flyfishes. It's hard enough getting to them with all the missile spam and adds, but you have to wait for them to open the launchers, throw a bomb that you might not have ink for or miss, then do it again for the other box. It's the main killer of my Salmon Run runs.
