No. The campaing is super short. This is a pvp focused game, skip.

I got into one match last night where the other team were playing like complete assholes. One or two of them were camping around my team's spawn point and attacking as soon as we spawned. The game seems to give some limited protection, but that didn't do a damn bit of a good with multiple players bearing down on you.

Basically, the times are designed with a region in mind. That said, only having one viable time during the weekday to play a mode you like is kinda dumb.

No... but if there was ever a game that might convert you into a pvp multiplayer guy, it's this one. Campaign is great and does a good job of introducing you to the mechanics and weapons.

If I use the Slosher I can get kills but don't splat much ground. If I use the aerospray I cant get kills but I spray a lot of ground. I cant play this game.

Also, lol at them ruining another Salmon Run with double Melee weapons. Inkbrush is awful in Salmon Run and they need to stop pushing it on people. What's the point of a weapon designed for kills if it can't get kills?

Only the 300 for completing the match, and the 1000xp bonus if your team miraculously wins without you. You get XP based on how much ink you turf.

By now most know that people that are "afk" actually disconnected. They still show up in your game though. You never see actual 3v4 matches in Turf War.

If you have 0p at the end of the match you probably disconnected, or were removed from the match for inactivity, in which case you wouldn't receive any xp. Of course you can troll by moving enough to stay in the game while not actually painting, in which case you would get xp in the end, but most zero p finishes will be for one or the previously mentioned reasons.

Use the weapons most like one your avatar is using and you'll be good at both turfing and splatting!

I mean, its preferred brand. They're Zink shoes, which means they are more likely to randomly get Quick Super Jump when they populate. If you scroll to the very bottom, it'll tell you what the common gear ability is. It's a small way to manipulate the RNG.

Nah it's pretty great. Short range but it's the fastest one hit kill in the game.

The Nzap '85 is pretty good for both. I think it unlocks around level 8 maybe.

Try the Tentatek Splattershot Its good mid range, splats the ground pretty well.

So how do amiibo work in this game? I don't mean their function, I know they save your settings and give you gear, but HOW do they give you gear. I got the Squinja mask from the S2 Inkling Boy but I know there's also shoes and a shirt that go with it. Are you supposed to scan them once a day like the Zelda amiibo in Breath of the Wild? Or are the other costume parts tied to what level you are? He just says something about "I'll give you more stuff later" but that's a bit ambiguous.

Also, since you have to register the amiibo, does this mean that once I register the S2 Inkling Boy my girlfriend won't be able to scan him and get the Squinja outfit? Or will she overwrite my stuff if she tries?

level up and go back and rescan. I don't know how much you have to level up by but I just remembered every few levels or so and each time I got something new when I went back.

I remember other folks saying that you can scan Splatoon 1 amiibos for gear they used to give in Splatoon 1, but what they give you will be random. You can rescan them after you win a few matches (not sure how many) and you won't be given something you already got.
