So by reading this thread I understood that 3 side abilities equals 1 big ability, right? But does it make sense that i have 2 of the same big ability activated? Does that stack?
From what others have said if you have more than one of the same ability they will stack. Each star on a gear represents how many abilities that gear will learn by experience points when you play online matches.

So if you look at a piece of headgear and it has one star then that means it will learn one more ability by leveling up. If it has two stars then it will learn two more abilities by leveling up twice and so forth.

Yes, but i read that 3 small ones on all my equipped items are as strong as one big one and i was questioning myself if 2 big ones really are as strong as 2 big ones or if it just stops somewhere like you can equip 2 separate items with the same big ability but it doesn't stack.

But where you mentioned the stars, why do we even have this stars? I mean I can see how many abilities one item can get because of the question marks on the items?

I just can't figure out motion controls. I've watched videos, gone into training, gone from one end of the spectrum from high to low on sensitivities and nothing works for me. I've gone from dominating to now just being frustrated and being the one holding my team back.

How in the world does anyone learn to use this. Mouse and keybaord in shooters felt natural. Twinsticks took a bit of learning but I had it within like 30 minutes to an hour. With motion i've been doing it for like 6 or 7 hours at least and still can't use it.

Salmon Run being locked out is stupid. I can never play as I work full time....

Don't know if you know this but they've changed the Salmon Run schedule to run for 24 hour blocks. So at the very least you should have a chance to play each time it goes live now. We don't know it's it this is a permanent change but we know it's like this through to next week (and it wasn't before).

I abandoned it, especially since it doesn't work well on handled mode (if you're lying, in public transport or a car etc)

Different developers?

Also new content every week isn't exactly common.

I mean I understand but Splatoon is very hyperactive while ARMS is a new IP that needs a similar level of hyperactivity to survive.

And no, I don't consider unlocking a boss character as new content DLC so ARMS needs to try again or go into the wooden crate of failed Nintendo IPs because make no mistake, Splatoon 2 is cannibalising ARMS at the moment.

You are not alone. I don't get it either. I'm not good with it, I find d it uncomfortable and the constant camera jitter gets on my nerves.

A lot of the Splatoon 2 content is probably at least mostly done. Per update in the first game they usually added a batch of things that unlock based on the time gradually.

I do feel 'bad' about not playing Arms as much but S2 is so good.

So I'm really going to buy a Pro Controller... stupid Splatoon 2, stop being so addicting.

Is it possible to somehow add people to your friend list through the game or the app? Never seen the option to do so. I got a friend request from some random fella and it says Splatoon 2 is the source of the request.

"Search for Users You Played With" under add friend. Can press home button and do it while the game is minimized. I'll do it in between rounds sometimes when I play with someone I think is good. The list updates almost instantly.

I love people slowly agreeing with me about the trislosher and octobrush.

I'd love to try the tri, pity I haven't unlocked it yet. And I still haven't got the octobrush because I was paying off Annie for a sick 3* visor.

Is the range on the octobrush really that much better than the inkbrush? I tested both out in Sheldon's range and they didn't look to be that different.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but the octobrush has deceptively long range and it is bullshit but you'd probably use it to climb ranked. The issue is everyone else is using it so you get matches of kamikazing into other brushes and the match could go either way s you just have a bunch of brushes and buckets stuck in C-

If your team doesn't have any brushes or buckets you lose though.

So... someone's gotta.

I believe everyone gets the same gear on the App right? If so there is some pretty good gear available for order right now. 3 ability shirt (white t-shirt), 4 ability boots (hunting boots) and 4 ability hat (beret)

The beret's nice. They had that on a couple of days ago. I wish it didn't have that clothes-pin in the side of it though.

What's the ability on the hunting boots? I haven't seen one before. Looks like some sort of stealth ability?

1 big ability = 10 "ability points"
1 small ability = 3 "ability points"

So 3 smalls is slightly less than 1 big.

Some abilities stack and some do not, it depends on the ability.

I really want to recommend the Splatoon Hybrid case to everyone. Looks great and with a USB-C extender cable you can get rid of your dock and have it nicely displayed

Damn game is super damn fun in handheld or tabletop mode.

Playing a full console multiplayer game in the palm of your hands. We have come a long way gamin wise.

Stealth Jump, hides your cursor or something like that when you are jumping

Stealth Jump, hides the little marker that appears when you super jump.

Also, that's a Splash Mob item, their brands main ability is Ink Saver (Main), so it's a good pair of boots if you want to grind ability chunks for that one.
