My gear has some repeated perks, i would like to know if they stack too or if they are wasted slots?
Gear abilities do stack! The benefit increase per point is reduced the more you stack though; two big circles of Swim Speed Up has a stronger effect than one big circle of Swim Speed Up, but it's not twice as strong. The ability system seems to work the same way in Splatoon 2 so far, so this might be a useful reference for you:

No one here knows if Ink Resistance stack? Or where's there a site that lists the abilities and their characteristics?
Ink Resistance stacks. We don't have exact numbers for Splatoon 2 yet (folks in the community are still working out the numbers) but the ability system seems to still work the same way and follow the same curves, so this will be a good reference:

If the game allows you to wear it more than once it will stack. The non stackable abilities only appear as main abilities, and are exclusive to one category of clothing. All stackable abilities are subject to diminishing returns when stacked.

It seems damn near impossible to get out of C- for Rainmaker with the teams I keep getting. One guy literally had it right next to the goal and didn't go up, then died. So many times the team isn't even focusing the fucking objective. Rainmaker is actually the worst mode

Bought the game today, played it and absolutely in-love with the style and game mechanics. This is my first Splatoon game and it is so much fun! The only downside was the awful use of motion controls in the beginning. Once I turned it off, everything was great.

If it works the same as Splatoon 1 then it doesn't stack. http://splatoon.wikia.com/wiki/Ability Unless that wiki is incorrect.

I mean you can get opening gambit on regular clothing, it's not exclusive.

The outfits are crazier than what you'll find in stores, and you can unlock music from the first game in Ika Radio (the rhythm game in the plaza), but none of it is really necessary. Just depends on what you're looking for.

Aight cool cool

So I won't stress over it

Oh.

Crusty Sean.

Crustacean.

Now I get it.

mind blown

the next time period is from 8pm est tonight to 8pm est tomorrow

It's nice that we're getting 24 hour blocks of Salmon Run being live, but like, for some of us on sleep schedules due to work obligations, 8pm only allows for 2 or 3 hours of play after work. And tomorrow it could mean even less than that, depending when I get off. Even just a practice mode would have been nice

Man, I don't know if I'm just really bad and the stats are misleading but I'm almost always on the losing team no matter how I play.

I've lost 9 out of the last 10 matches even though I'm normally getting around 850p and a good number of kills. It's ruining the enjoyment a bit because I just feel like wins are so rare. It doesn't even feel like it's my fault which is the worst thing, it's out of my control.

Try to get use to the motion controls in single player. Trust me on this one, you'll be glad you did.

Try to avoid it then. You get notified when someone jumps to youm

its the person who jumped that made the mistake, its pretty clear when looking at the map when someone is engaging or being engaged, its why most of the pro players almost never utilize super jump unless you are stomping on an objective or have a purposely placed player in a safe location to jump to

if someone is jumping to someone else in an area that is currently being inked by the other team which you can see on the map in real time or if the person you are jumping to is in a territory surrounded by ink

in ranked it doesnt really matter because you are mostly smacking objectives into the ground by force in pub games so the kill counts in those games can get up to the 20s easily

I know... it's just really frustrating to see somebody, ironically, camp in this game. Spawn killing is lame. I tried it once. I felt terrible. Never did it again.

Yeah same. I feel like turf war is very much about clutch plays in the final minute and, as such, can very easily be thrown by minute mistakes. Plus, it's difficult to carry a whole team. Maybe try ranked. I've had more success there than in turf war, personally.

Ugh, no wonder my hat and shoes kept giving me cold blooded. I thought it was just bad luck because they are two separate brands, but no, they had to give two brands the affinity for cold-blooded.

I think I will farm Cold Blood so I can make a perfect stealth set with my Ninja Squid and Steath Jump for rank.

yeah i played a brush for a couple of games and hated myself, i felt like i was slowly turning into a supervillian

thank fuck this game doesnt have personal messages, those 10 games would have filled up my inbox

Ink Resistance is no longer a footwear exclusive ability in Splatoon 2. Anything that can show up in a sub ability slot is a stackable ability.

https://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Ink_Resistance_Up
In Splatoon 2
Unlike the previous game, Ink Resistance Up can be found on all types of gear in Splatoon 2. The ability can also be stacked and rolled for in additional ability slots.

Also I personally don't like citing wikias that much. They're usually plastered in ads, and the information provided by wikias can usually be found elsewhere.

Huh, so I think Ink Armor can stack? Popped someone's armor in a firefight, and then popped it again despite the fact he didn't start another coat. So I guess he had two?

Huh. Didn't know about this. Do they pile up, or do the wins not start counting until you've picked up the last snail?

you hit 30 and he gives you one then its every 2 levels after 30, i really wish you could just buy the slots with gold this is reallllly slow but i understand why they did it this way

limited amounts of gear pieces in the game etc, however i dont know what you do once you hit 50, i guess you just cant add slots until splatfests

I dove right into the single player first, and I've now wiped that out. For the most part I felt like it was a step up, but... was it just me, or was that final boss kind of disappointing?
Haven't played the original game's story mode final boss since the game came out, but obviously it was the same dude... and I kind of remember it being the same moves (perhaps even more intense), with an added actual map with stuff going on instead of just the circular arena
. Been quite some time so I can't compare in depth to the first game, but yeah... seemed like a bit of a let-down, which was weird.

Ah, ok. Thought it was for every so many wins.

Your views on the final boss is the common sentiment I've seen here. Which is weird, because I thought 2's was a lot better. Felt like an actual boss instead of a stage.

The game is great but I just wish the alternative modes (Splat zones etc.) weren't locked to the Ranked matches, honestly.

What weapon are you using? Ink Armor absorbs up to 30 HP of damage before breaking, so if you don't deal enough damage it will take you more than one hit to get rid of it.

Matched with three Splat Chargers.

Watched in awe as the three of them crossfired on a single person, and missed every. single. shot.

part of me wants to get to 10 so I can play the different modes...but the other part of me doesn't want to be the guy who is the reason their team loses a ranked match

you cant fall below C- and you have to learn the modes somehow, there are videos etc and guides/tips but nothing compares to trying it

i used to suffer from performance anxiety in games and basically forced myself out

I think playing those modes with total Splatoon newbies would be hell on Earth. So for that reason, I think it's fine.

There's a very high possibility that you won't be.
