Yeah, this Salmon Run is tough. I got sent down to Go-Getter after 3 failed attempts to fight off motherships and grillers with an inkbrush and a roller. The blaster isn't very helpful against grillers until you get them spinning, either.

Maybe it seems bad because I was stuck with the Splatling there. It's definitely not impossible, just one of the weaker comps for this setup.

Yeah, you have to really watch the targeted person if you have the Splatling and hope they set up a clean shot for you. The Splatling just sucks all around in that mode. I've hated that gun since the story mode, still hate it.
 
I had my first session of Splatzones today. It went well (8w-3l). I intended to stop at 8-2 (trying to limit my Ranked sessions to 10 matches), but was too high off the momentum. This **** is like being at a casino (not that I've ever been to one). In the last match, one of our guys dropped out midway. We held it down with just three (made it down to 6), but dropped the ball in the end and they brought it back big time.
 
Salmon Run isn't all that bad today, you need to save supers for third round and then spam them when shit gets crazy, the grenade super clears things up real quick.
 
The Steelhead is so damn frustrating to fight with the brush or roller. Hell it's even kind of tough with the blaster and the Mini Splatling is pretty much the only thing that can take them out.
 
Not allowing to change loadouts in between games, unskippable dialogue every time you boot the game, broken matchmaking....how in the world does this game have a metarank of over 50? These are issues that were present in the first game if I'm not mistaken, you're telling me that Nintendo could not solve these in 3 years?
This is beyond stupid.

Well for nintendo these are not issues, they are intended features
 
Starting to get frustrated, 5 matches in a row with someone on may team not playing. Just tanked my weapon ratio....

Do you even get points for doing nothing? Why are so many people just starting a match then just stand there.

They got disconnected. If they have 0 kills or supers they probably got disconnected before the match even started.
 
my battery died at the start of a Salmon Run match...thought I had a bit left on it before it would go

got the Superbonus once so I'm done for tonight...I may try and get the next one tomorrow but don't know if the headache of doing that again is worth it
 
Guys.

Don't guard dropped eggs while spamming "This Way!"

Just start making runs. Your teammates have situations of their own. There are plenty of eggs to go around, just make your dunks.
 
I wasn't biggest fan of the loadouts, but the machine gun and Roller are pretty solid. My biggest issue is the Blaster. The range sucks and it can't even lay a lot of ink.

I won a few but failed the vast majority. These weapons are making it incredibly difficult. The sting ray special isnt much help right now either.
 
So I went from playing sitting in a chair, to lying down and Y wouldn't recenter my view? It kept looking up at the sky.

I used it to destroy Steelheads when I got it. You don't have to wait for the bomb to pop out.
 
getting the ground pound super in salmon run is just miles better than anything its amazing, basically the only savior of the 255 i just had

As someone who like splatzones most, remember your range. Slosher and aero can be dangerous but every gun shoots farther than these. So stay back a bit and fend them away or let them come to you and get sent back to base.
