How many times do I gotta tell you Mayo mains?

So it hit me how great the 2-hour rotations have been. Was worried they'd be too short at first, but they feel just right. Even 3 sounds like too much, now. And (even though I've not utilized it yet) with League Battles running a different map/mode every time, there's a lot of variety to play throughout the day.
Only complaint is that you can't look way ahead. Let me see the rotations for the next 24 hours through the App or something. Just so (after this initial week of way too much play) I can know whether I should spend time playing in, say the evening, or put it off until later at night for a map/mode I vastly prefer.
Then again, that'd be a blessing and a curse. Seeing the Rotations I couldn't play due to obligations.
Brella is in Singleplayer, but you can't get the Hero version until the regular version is patched in for everyone.
Bubble Wand is a Special. Not sure what it will be on. For all we know, that could show up this next week. Or the next. Or the.. you get the idea.

They should make an underground map. You have a top layer to ink and then you can go underground to fight.

Guess I better do more of the SP. The reveal of Brella made me want to instantly hang up my Octobrush. Bubble wand looks insane. Killing it with all these weapons. Realized today the suction bomb is just a tank sitting on a plunger.

Just went straight to B- from C on rainmaker. I didn't do that well, though...On Splatzones I was killing it. Won almost all my games, and turned my 50 games win:loss ratio from something like 18 wins:32 losses (was playing with the chargers on turf war), to 30 wins:20 losses. I had to climb up every rank though. I didn't get ANY skips.

Interesting choice of abilities here. I still need to decide what I want for my character. I have a bit from everything which is not ideal but I just can't decide.
How does the loadout looks like from the other GAF members here?

I feel like my rank is too high. All I see are people from something like 8 - 16, and I'm 22. I didn't play for a few days and hoped people would catch up...They kinda did, but I was hoping for more ;(

I read online people will buy cheap gear and scrub the abilities to get ability chunks. When they get enough chunks they'll add it to the gear they want to use.

Man I'm having a tough time getting into this game.
I think it's mainly because it's such an iterative sequel when I'm used to big mainline Nintendo games largely being their own thing (for better or for worse).
I only did one level of the single player and it was just, the same thing? Linear level floating above a backdrop, reach the zapfish at the end, same music even.
Doesn't help that when I played the current stages were just from Splatoon 1.
Salmon Run seemed fun, have only done the tutorial stages though.

Made it up to S in Tower Control. I feel like I was carried a lot of the way there though. But on the other hand, then I go back to rank B for Rainmaker and see people inking around our spawn like this is Turf War and start to think I don't belong with these people.
It feels like Rainmaker is the game people understand the least. But it's still so fun to play. This game is so much better than Splatoon 1.

I need to face a team of gaffers to see how good I am lol. All I play are randoms since I have no friends. ☹️
Rainmaker is almost always either all or nothing. Half the time the whole team gets exactly where the best place is to go, but then half the time they fumble around acting like its the very first game they are ever playing.
On Pumptrack, its so obvious that you go on the zipline, take the rainmaker, and go directly right around the hill. Why do some take it and go backwards wandering around or try to go up that wall on the left? Its way slower and easy to get hit.

I love the stage but I perform terribly on it. It's good for flanking but I still get destroyed.

A thought occurs. I saw a DidYouKnow video about Splatoon 1. It states that the Inklings that you play as are around 13 to 14 years old.
Now in Splatoon 2, Marie says that you, Agent 4, is two years older than Agent 3, who was the player character in the 1st game.
Does that mean that we are playing as 16 year olds now?!

Click on the icon to the left of the squid on the menu bar in the app and scroll down.
Add people from the doc and if you want join the discord. There are lots of people here to get to know and play with. It definitely makes the game more enjoyable

Level =/= rank and they shouldn't be equated. At most the level gives an indication of how much you've played, but the fact that it only rises, regardless of losses, means it shouldn't be used as a measure of anything meaningful
